Lances

At the moment a lance can hit harder than a maul, but the variance of its dmg is big. It can also dismount.
There are 4 factors to this weapon, wich makes it very hard to balance. If we take out 1 factor (dismounting), we can focus on the 3 remaining factors (dmg, speed, skill.req.). As an update, I would make Lances very much a like compared to halberds/mauls, so they would deal big damage with simular damage modifiers. There's no need to change the speed of lances, as they're slow already.
So a simple question, wich version do you prefer?

Removing dismount for Maul damage? Hell yeah. No doubt.
The Lance damage got lower average damage due to long damage range. A stable weapon like Maul for a Fencer would be golden.

i agree with johnny here.
dismount is a good thing, but if it does that rarely and the damage variations are too wide...

I voted to keep it as it is, but if it were made to be the same damage and speed as a maul, I will vote on that option.

The weapon has a bit of too high edge in the PvP world.
My vote goes on the no dismounting.

Atm we have to choose between;
Sometimes instakilling m00l vs sometimes dropping lance and then killing jons ass. I would see mool more op than lance atm.

First of all, at the moment lance with 160 dexterity is slower than a maul with 100 dex. As it's said before at the moment lance's damage range is pretty big and the top damage is higher with a lance. Lance is pretty much pvp weapon. With these changes all i can see is you trying to make it more for pvm also...for who? I think archers can handle pvm with bows, assassins can't hunt and i bet there are still better weapons for barbarians.
If this happens, i see this as a nerf for fencers. Also the change should include swing speed boost, not only damage range reducing.
And then we got pretty much two similar weapons...

Basicly it's a matter of better dmg vs. dismounting. Dismounting is so rare, I'd rather choose the better dmg.
So, I don't see this as a nerf from any perspective - unless you rely on dismouting everytime you fight with a lance.
