Re: Sig
Leah, that second one is awesome. Almost perfectly matched to what I'd wanted for a sig to look like.

I has one! Thanks leah <3
I am ready to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the ordeal of meeting me is another matter.

Re: Sig
Shall we take our preists and go clear Despies ;smiels *winks*
And... what is "Custodis" exactly?
cūstōdis
1. genitive singular of cūstōs
cūstōs (genitive cūstōdis); m, third declension
1. A guard, protector
2. A guardian, tutor
3. A jailer
"Custodis" would mean something a guard/jailer/tutor owns.

Re: Sig
Oh i missed the point there.. well the ranks are based on roman ranks... and Custodis is one of them
Re: Sig
no it means the guarded. the one you take into custody.Rockhound wrote:Guardian:)
custode (plural custodi) might be what you're looking for.

bleh. i totally messed up in that post. sorry.volc wrote:no it means the guarded. the one you take into custody.Rockhound wrote:Guardian:)

to clear things up:
custos -> guard
custodes -> guards
custodis doesn't have a use on its own, it needs to be coupled.
aurum custodis -> guard's gold
panis custodis -> guard's food
and about the roman ranks, i have no idea, i was going for the dictionary meaning of the word only.
