They're not supposed to tell a story these days, but refer to what could be considered the internet culture.

Yeah, I understand the actual internet meme templates, but the references to the current happenings of Pangaea are lost to me. It's sad, but kinda makes me want to catch up with the times.

Makes me feel old to think that me and Morgain probably used Paint Shop Pro to put those old meme pictures together. These days I wouldn't touch that program with a stick.

As a sidenote - I believe most of these captioned pictures are either drawn by Larry Elmore or Boris Vallejo and the rest are most likely illustrations from the Magic the Gathering card game series. (I probably wouldn't give a toss if it weren't for the fact that I know a couple of people IRL who do these sort of illustrations for a living. So yeah, long live old school fantasy paintings).
