Inside is a message that reads.
Good day Mr. Patrick Brews,

This is a declaration of war.

The Eighth Alþing Parliament of The Clock Masters Union, would like to list these wrongs that have stopped or hindered the flow of commerce and our reasons for this declaration.
1. The selling and cultivation of wizard weed in Union trade zones with out the proper papers. Due to this the sates monopoly is being threatened and thus it has been decided that this illegal wizard weed trade disrupting the flow of commerce. Due to the fact that wizard weed is not taxed and papers required to cultivate and sell wizard weed are free to acquire we can only decide that this trade is being done illegally without the proper documentation.
2. Attacks on more than one union member inside the MoB guild house.
3. Causing the economy to run rampant with deflation due to a lack of filing for proper subsidization.
4. Logging in Union protected land without the proper paperwork this is the 5th warning and the last!
5. Piracy and improper documentation on all MoB boats created or set to sail the lands sea routes.
6. Attacks on Union supply reserves.
7. Supporting the empowerment of blacklisted individuals.
8. Harboring blacklisted individuals.
9. Not filing for proper documents to exchange goods in union protected free trade zones.
10. Refusing all four attempted meetings for a peaceful existence.
11. Attacking the state potion monopoly.
12. Attacking the state cloth monopoly.
13. Attacking the state lumber monopoly.

Well let me reassure you that a monopoly is what messes up commerce. Ive reopened the Merchants of Britain as a service to help those that help this world. Your weak attempt to wage war on some innocent merchants has been denied by me and my fellow merchants. furthermore I hope you understand that an attack on innocent merchants part of my family or not is a punishable crime in britain. Each time an act of hate against someone is commited the order of law shall be contacted.
Good day and good luck...

Who was it who refused to compromise? All the Union asked was that the proper taxes be paid and the proper paperwork be filed, just like every other citizen of britain is subject to.

Dear Miss/Mr/Dr Brews,

Please stop playing ignorant we personally came to discuss our problems with you before drafting this official letter that you ignored for a very long time. So let it be known that you and your guild members will be attacked on sight by The Clockmakers Union, our shareholders and our holding affiliates. Please do not act surprised next time you lay in the streets in your own blood.

Have a fantastic day,
-Frog Morton

Dear Priest of Law,

You should talk to your head priest before making such threats. All our operations are well inside the legal limits set up by The Clockmakers Union's parliamentary body. The only party furthering the problem and hindering the flow of commerce is the Merchants of Britain. Until they accept the terms of peace there shall be none.

Signed, Frog Morton
