The Last Prayer

*A knight kneels down, bows his head and begins the prayer that he knows by heart.*
We yearn to say it.
Name of the our true Goddess, the vanquisher of woe and affliction
Her name we long to hear, so beautiful it is.
The temptation grows stronger.
Meditation fails, still your tongues.
Seek solace in Her gaze.
The temptation fades, the holy Goddess prevails
*The knight remains on his knees until he hears a faint voice echoing through the temple*
"All is forgiven, go."
*The old man gets up with tears in his eyes. He takes one last look upon the shimmering orange altar and the tome which is glowing brighter then before. He walks up to the tome and places his hand on it. Tear drops on the pages. He turns, and leaves.*
