The recovery from the darkest nightmare one can experience

Post by Maximilian Lhoth »

Alone he, Sebastian Lhoth, was in the darkness, for a time that was long indeed. Solitary confinement. No idea, if he will ever get out of there or not. That's all he can tell. Being in solitary confinement without any light or space to move was hard, but due to his strong ideology he struggled to keep his sanity and somewhat managed.

The thoughts of the dear friends such as Tialessa and former co-officers missing him kept him positive minded enough and granted him patience. All his possessions had been lost due to the heavy curse that had been laid upon him as well. The banker apparently thought he would never return and he didn't know what happened to his bank account while he was away.

Most likely it had been donated to British. That didn't matter though. If it went to British, it probably went into good hands.

Formerly an officer of somewhat high rank, later a freelancer shadow druid with a good intent, now he was penniless. Weakened badly both mentally and physically, the shadow druid asked Gaea for help in recovering.

A miracle happened. Or so it appeared. Gaea granted Sebastian his sanity and strength back, even if Sebastian had sinned against Gaea, being a shadow druid. A warm feeling filled Sebastian as he felt Gaea's healing, life-preserving presence.

Sadly, this was only an illusion which lasted for a while. Sebastian felt strong for a while, but it didn't last for long. Apparently Gaea wasn't that satisfied with the ways of a shadow druid, or it was only a personal period of psychotic mania in which Sebastian thought he had recovered from his mental and physical injuries.

Now, Sebastian has recovered a bit, he is on his feet. Certain, very dear people have even seen him smile, once in a while. He has seen the darkest side of the ethereal void - and indeed he did "serve" for a long time.

Friendly people have supported Sebastian financially and he has trained his muscles; they lift already over half of what they used to and his mind is also getting as clear as it used to be.
