A Letter Addressed To The High Consular Of Imperial

Post by Geryn Farodae »

Geryn Farodae, on one of his frequent patrols of Lord British's cities, gets hailed by a guard who rushes over to him. The guard waved his hands to and fro above his head to attract the attention of the ever-alert officer of the Law. After a brief introduction, the guard goes on to explain the atrocities behind a bloodthirsty attack on two civilians in Britain's core. The hair stands up on the back of his neck as the guard tells his tale, telling him that the murderer did so in the name of Esuna. At first, Geryn looks at the guard incredulously, finding it difficult to believe the Imperialists would be foolish enough to destroy their treaty that had just been signed very recently.

All incredulity washed away as the guard hands him forensic evidence that the killing blow of the two unfortunate individuals was done by the hand of a man wearing the crest of Her. Anger replaces the normally calm features of the white haired Head Priest, and he closes his fist around the scroll, crushing it beneath his grip.

A short time later, Geryn is sitting in his study in the tallest room of the Headquarters of Law where he picks up his pen and quill.

To the High Consular of the Order of Imperial

I hold in my hands proof that one or more of your members launched an attack on the city of Britain today, and two unfortunate people paid the ultimate price at the hands of your marauders. This act is unacceptable. When the treaty was signed between our two orders, I expected at least a degree of control over your members, and that you and yours would exercise more self control.

Just recently, it was reported that one of your members attacked the Order of Nature on the very soil you swore to never engage in hostilities upon.

I expect this matter, and this person(s) to be dealt with expediently. I will honour our treaty, though it seems as though only our part is being honoured, and allow you the dignity of dealing with your member(s) yourself.

Do not disappoint me, Consular.

This is the last chance you will get.

Signed,

Geryn Farodae
Head Priest
Order of Law

*Kent receives a letter and reads it with a heavy sigh*
Dear Geryn Farodae, this is Kent Strider, The High Priest of Imperial, the Consular position has been disbanded as well as every member you wish to be expelled. I am maintaining the treaty as best I can I guess there were just a few loose ends that needed cutting.

Signed,
Kent Strider
The High Priest of Imperial
