- Close the barriers! Get inside! NOW!

The man known as Alexander started chanting with the others, summoning Paladins to strengthen the defence of the last safe castle in the kingdom.
The Deamon's horde was approaching the place, breaking down stone walls like they were made of paper.
He knew that he was living his last moments but he didn't care about his life.
This was allready devoted to Orion and the King but what was torturing him was his little sister's fate.
He started praying for the innocent. And just when the Daemons broke the last barricades, Orion showed up.
A loud voice made him gasp and His aura filled the little castle with hope.

- BEGONE CREATURES OF THE NIGHT! THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO DEFILE!

And with a movement of his right hand the walls started glowing white bringing pain to the deamons who started crawling on the ground before they vanish leaving behind them a cloud of black ash.
People around Him started praying, yelling, and laughing, before He rise his hand and speak again.

- It is not over. Talos is coming and this is MY battle to fight.

He started chanting on some strange sygils, Alexander had never seen again, opening gates to strange places.

- I am sending you in safe places.

Alexander bowed before Him and started mumbling that he wants to die fighting in his side when Orion looked at him. His words were heard across the land like thunder.

- You should never contradict your God's will! BEGONE!

The castle started shaking and seconds later a huge hole appeared on the ground.
Alexander was unable to move, watching his comrades falling into the abyss like a solid mass consisting of floor tiles and human flesh, others hitting on the flaming walls of this daemonic well, others consumed by a horde of huge daemons rising up from the lowest levels of hell.
An evil laughter made him shiver and he felt a hand pulling him into a random portal.
He felt like he was falling for hours, watching through the portal his homeland getting completelly destroyied.
He saw the portal vanishing, leaving back what once was his house, his life, his soul.

- Alex?
- Ummm?
- Alex, are you allright?
- No. I mean... I am not hurt... Aphrodite? Are you ok?
- Yes. I hardly managed to bring you with me, but I am allright.
- Aphrodite?
- Yes?
- Forget our past. Forget our surname. We were given a second chance by our Lord. We have to seize the oportunity we were granted by Him.

They started walking towards the lights taking oaths of secrecy. Their surname should never been heard again. Their clan have been vanished, back with their homeland.

Many years have passed...

Difficult years, searching for food, sleeping in dirty inn rooms, hidden in the shadows, afraid of showing up in public.
Playing with a piece of bread in his hands, Alexander lowered his head and let his thoughts come through his mouth.
- I will join an order...
Aphrodite leaned her head and watched Alexander deep into his eyes.
- You are crazy. I lived this comedy once and it didn't have a happy end.
- Orion saved us. We wouldn't be alive if he didn't...
- You call this ALIVE? The rats in the sewers have more than we have! And they do not have to hide every time they hear footsteps!

Alexander tried to calm her down but her voice turned into screams.
- We live in ratholes for so many years! You forgot how a maul is, let alone how to use it! And suddenly, you have the GREAT idea to appear in front of the people here and say WHAT?
- Aphrodite, I am nothing! I am an atheist cleric! Can you understand that?
- And what about your old God's words? Our oaths!
- I am sure he would be happyier watching me gaining my life back than rotting in small rooms with burglars and assassins. Come on little one!
Aphrodite lied on the bed crying loudly.
- Come on girl! We deserve our life back! You will see! You will have more free time alone to train your alchemy! I will be bringing you reagents!
- I don't want free time away from you! I don't want to loose you!
Alexander leaned to the bed and tried to hug her.
She hit his hand away while her cry turn into wail and soon it became laughter. A crazy laughter mixed with sobs that made Alexander shudder.
She stood up and run to the door yelling.
- I WILL KILL ALL THE HEAD PRIESTS! I WILL DESTROY THE RELIGIONS! I HAVE GREAT FRIENDS WHO WILL HELP ME, YOU WILL SEE!
Her voice vanished into the air leaving Alexander shaking his head.
He was confused. Between laughing with Aphrodite's threats and worried of what this stubborn girl would do...

During the night many dreams visited Alexander's sleep.
Dreams of his homeland, his friends, his house.
Suddenly, the room was filled with light and he woke up sensing a powerfull aura. And he saw Him standing near his bed in his armour.
Alexander got off his bed and bowed before him.

- Orion!

- Alexander, I sense that you are having thoughts about joining a religion.

Alexander gulped. He didn't know the intentions of his God. But he knew that he couldn't lie. He lowered his head.

- I aye sir! I... was thinking...

Orion left a gentle smile appear in his face.

- You are a cleric Alexander. This is what you have to do. And truth can be seen from many angles. No matter which God you worship, the path remains the same.
Good bye Alexander. We will never meet again. Stay on your path.

Tears start making their appearance in Alexander's eyes. He felt Orion's hand touching his head, then pushing him away. He strangled to stay there.

- DUDE! Stop that! This is my wife and you are scarring her!

- Huh?

- Get off her! Are you crazy? You fell off the bed, started crying and then pulling her off her bed!

Alexander sat down not knowing what really happened.
Alnaden his cousin and his wife Persephone who came with him sat on the floor beside him.

- I am sorry Persephone. I don't...

- Hash now, it's allright. What happened?

- Orion came to my dreams.

- Come on dude! It was just a dream!

- No... He told me to stay on my path. I think it's time to pay a visit at the Head Priest of the order of Law.

- Nonsense!

It was Aphrodite who turned her face away and started crying silently.
