A prayer of faith

Another day, Sid wakes up on the floor with his scepter in hand.
Reaching up to the reigns of his steed he pulls himself up and somewhat aloof, he begins trotting around the premises.
*these days, the enemies are all around us*, he thinks to himself. *even wearing our very robes, the symbol of what we represent*..
a sharp uneasiness comes over his body, much like the feeling he gets from the alter since it was corrupted by the followers of Winchester only days ago.
"Imposters sneak into our sacred place of worship claiming to be true followers of Dennac, and then they are no where to be seen while law defiles our temple" Sid states to himself angrily.
The uneasiness sharpens.
"This is a disgrace!", Sid blurts out loudly.
After patrolling the area, He confirms all is quite in the temple. Sid has only been part of the cult for some months now but his faith and will are strong.
Because he lacks the experience of his brothers, the hours he is tasked with patrolling are usually the quieter ones. Often keeping the premises secure while his colleagues rest from battle.
He has felt great pain in his past, he knows that life is the cause of all the suffering one feels and a person can only be free of these chains through death.
He has seen the ignorance, people believing that life can be joyous and without worry, but this is ignorance in the greatest magnitude. With the bliss of death, it no longer matters of these idiotic thoughts. Dying at our hands is an honorable death, and in death, Dennac's will shall guide the way.
These are the reasons he joined Tekstone, to do his service to the world and free the lands of all life. This task however, requires him to live on to do so. This is the sacrifice Sid has made.
Sid walks up to the alter. The uneasiness grows more and more as he steps closer.
He feels his body tense as blood begins to leak from his eyes. He doesn't miss a step.
Falling to his knees at the foot of the alter, he begins his prayer with thoughts.
*I have never asked for anything, I've always felt Dennac's will without the need of conversation*
Sid begins to speak
"We, your servants, want to defeat this snake and her followers. You know of their past and their judgments against us. You know they have acted against your will, and attempted to prevent us from serving you.
But always, we have persevered, we have overcome them.
Through your power and might there was nothing we cannot do.
But now through their trickery, they attempt to harness your power, and use it against us.
*the blood begins to pool at Sid's knees*
We have served you,
it is time for you to serve us, Dennac.
It is time for you to speak your will, and we know what you choose is right
