I feel like they tend to usually run a little long for the reward - but I'd imagine its awfully hard to set up a quest when you have no idea how many people might show up.

Maybe GM's could plan for slightly shorter quests and have some backup mobs as a contingency plan or something? Just spitballin'.

I had a pretty good time, so cheers for that!

(Although, if I can suggest one tweak: the SomethingSomething Keeper's paralyze should be nerfed a bit).

First of all, sorry for the chaos and poor planning guys. I was talking to Kenyon yesterday and we had a couple ideas for some custom mobs and decided to go for an impromptu quest. Sadly, I only had 5 hours today to script the mobs and plan the quest. I was done scripting 30 minutes before starting the quest, so the planning part went pretty haywire.

And I'm super rusty. It's been like 1½ years since I've last held a quest I think.

I didn't have time to make them no-looters, or spawn proper camps. I just sort of threw everything I had at ya as we went and made the rest up :P I got around 50% of them to be no-looters I think.

Anywho.. Thanks to those that showed up! I hope you had a little fun with the custom graphics and mechanics at least. I'll reveal a couple secrets:
- The juggernauts were super succeptible to magic, but had high HP and AR
- The Soul Devourers were easy to take down with melee, but had high resist and AR, and they gave an int curse (a gmummy curse for int)
- The final boss "The Affliction" copied himself, and the copies copied themselves, but they could all be dispelled in one go with a mass dispell. At one point you were fighting 7-8 bosses at the same time (and this guy is worse than a Balron).

And thanks to Kenyon for taking the IG charge and pretty much running the show.

It'll be better next time I hope.

I disagree it was worse than a Balron. Me and Ivan were sitting there pinking it down past 50% the first time before you dragged mobs into us! :D

The quest was enjoyable the mobs were quite interesting to fight... except for the beginning where I was being rez killed by enemys haha.

Are you going to use those mobs somewhere else also, i.e for permanent spawn somewhere?

Yeah you archers were giving me a hard time. I had to try and put a little pressure on you.

That last lightning storm was a big fuckup though.. You almost had it, and I figured "better crank up the suspense in the last seconds" and then every single one of you just died. Oops

Thanks guys for turning up!

Last minute fun, throughout the quest we were discussing how best reward players because it was a three hour quest, initially we were not allowing the mobs to have loot, then we soon realised it was necessary!

I am ready to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the ordeal of meeting me is another matter.
