As long as you make a ranger and realize how much they suck so you can whine on the forum... :D

Nahh I kid, makes me sad that you're leaving staff :( Now I have no one left to whine to on ICQ.

It's sad to see when a truly competent person announces his upcoming retirement. Good to see you're doing it this way, though. It takes cojones to take responsibility.

Cheers!

Pangaea has always been a part of my life and that isn't going to change. I will come back as a player if I'm allowed back. If I was voting on myself, I would not let myself back at all or at minimum ban for 6-12 months. Under different conditions I could do this job forever. I saw this day coming months ago when other "old school" fellows quit (being Monad, Argon and Wille). After that it was clear a new breed of staff will start ruling the shard with a wider and softer view/vision. I simply don't share the same view/vision and that's why I need to pack my bags.

Option b) is going full Alteran - and that's not healthy for the shard or the staff either.

I have no problems leaving the shard to Ares, Kevin and Dick. I just hope one of them steps in or a new staff member is hired, because 1 GM + 2 scripters isn't the best lineup. Also filling my boots in terms of activity is a big challenge, because currently I have more online time in a month than the rest (Ares, Kevin, Iktomi, Neon, Irming) combined. Whoever will continue after me will have to triple/quadruple his/her game hours. An inactive admin's the worst thing a shard can have.

When you make things a democracy, you need to accept that not everything will be as you vote it to be! Can't leave when that happens! If you got the love, it'll guide you through :)

That's useless as well. People come, people go. One Era ends, another one begins. It's the natural progress of the server and I have no problems (at all) leaving behind my/our legacy. The past 3 years have been fantastic and I can retire with a warm heart and a wide smile. Pangaea has always been a great product and we've only made it better. The list of changes is too long to even remember... and the next guy running the show will have a hard time living up to it.

There's no need to leave goodbye's either. An epicx post will be made, when it's time.

Well done so far, with returning the shard to life. Looking forward to your Tekstone application.

Geez, finally!

:P

Boris, a different vision doesn't have to end in confrontation and/or separation. It can also mean balance, although I understand it might be exhausting for you.
