Cove is not safe!
I regret to inform you that due to deception by one who is believed to be an agent of lord Tolsar... Cove has fallen to a heavily armed band of mercenaries.
Earlier a small militia was formed to investigate a distress letter from cove - upon arriving we were greeted by a ragged stranger... After some gentile interrogating by Militia Commander Christian the spy reluctantly handed over a document carrying grim news... Brit was to be attacked - not Cove!
Upon learning of the impending attack on Brit our small band regrouped to inform the citizens and bolster the guard ranks.
We waited tenselly for hours... pacing the borders of Brit prepared to be struck at any moment - when Christian came back from scouting with the worst news possible...
It was all a ruse! The spy - the orders - all a plot to lure us away from cove.... While we let our guard down the town fell to hordes of mercenaries...
We knew we were outnumbered but decided we could not simply sit by and let the innocent people of cove be terrorized by these brutes...
We fought bravely and lost several men along the way only to be turned back at the gates by a huge force... My heart is heavy for the people of Cove - who knows what torture these mercenaries performing?
We now await new orders from Commander Christian - He has deemed the city off limits for the time being as its too dangerous... Good citizen when the time comes we beg of you to stand with us for the people of Cove - they've got nobody else to defend them!

What this man speaks is the truth. We are in a dire situation, we have been taken a mockery of! As Ninth Commander of the Armies of the North, I am seeking abled men and women to fight this horde. I have been tracking them for a few months from lands some of you may never have set eyes upon. I believe they are under the influence or in contract with someone who is becoming more well known every day; "Lord Tolsar".
Let me assure you, this "Tolsar" is but another reject from our regions, a Half Brother of the ruling king, he fled through fear of imprisonment for murder and corruption. He is a mighty mage but a foolish and insane individual. Be warned, whatever is at play here is not good. I beg you, do not let this Tolsar and his mercenaries capture Cove and any other territories, for if he does... we are all doomed to an eternity of poverty, corruption and death.
I have sent rangers into Cove to assess the situation and these are the drawings they have gathered; be warned this may not be completely accurate so I advise AGAINST any intervention without my guidance, it will surely be futile. My understanding is that they have razed the buildings, assaulted the walls and have started formations within the city.
