That simply can't be controlled. If you guys dig looting scripts, there's really only one option: allow it in all scenarios. After that we need to make looting a tiny bit more annoying, i.e. add a 1s timer per item. Note: it affects both PvP and PvM, and that makes it gay. But I guess it could be worth a trial?
Talerco and Jonnhy said it all in the beggining of topic.
Yes for PvM, permaban if used in PvP, even if hard to notice or proof. With current tecnologies of recording fights into movies, if somone is having somekind of problem, can always record it and staff could give an opinion about it.

Actually we are still on the same square one as we are now. We've no solid way to determine who is using a script and who isn't. We don't even know if people are currently using looting scripts in PvP or is all this hype just people going paranoid?
In PvM I find that when I'm hunting alone or with a partner (i.e. druid) that the looting aspect makes the hunt longer by almost an hour. You either need a dedicated looter on the team who stays back (which sucks imo) or the entire group must engage in the looting and most of the time they're SLOPPY looters. It's also annoying when you're trying to pick up little items like gems/eyes.
Potential benefits:
-Less burdensome/depressing in hunts where looting is done by one person.
-Easier on the mouse and your finger joints!
-Looting script means we can bribe our grandparents to play the game and hoard resources, player base goes up temporarily (until they pass on, or rage quit because they fell asleep during macroing). It also means we can get the very young (for those of you who are parents) to start playing (because otherwise they're itty bitty fingers are too tiny to yoink little gems!11).
Some possible downsides:
-Looting will become more efficient- meaning more items/resources such as gems will accumulate into the system.
-The 1s delay means those who naturally are quicker with their hands will be held back.
The "meh":
-If the 1s delay is only working on the individual, though this might be sucky for that person, if an entire team is looting then it's not so sucky because 3-4 people looting a single corpse, even with a 1s delay it's going to get yoinked pretty fast.
-Shard takes another step into the "if you don't have scripts, you're not going to kick ass" direction.
#1 Manual looting mode
1. You hunt, clear a certain area within a dungeon.
2. During that time, after every corpse you kill, you cut the corpse.
3. After a certain amount of time (This is the important part) ~10 mins you return to the last area and pick up the goods off the ground/floor.
4. This might sound troublesome, but works.
#2 Manual looting mode
1. You hunt, clear a certain area within a dungeon.
2. During that time, after every corpse you kill, you cut the corpse.
3. After you've killed most of the critters, keep the very easy mobs alive and lure them to the corpses.
4. This is even easier than above, you basically loot 10 mob loots from 2 mobs, just need to place the corpses more into a pack - But remember, the mobs also have weight limits. 1 mob can load up to approximately 3-5 mob's loots.
Although my tenosynovitis hates looting small items from corpses and chests on my high screen resolution, I'd have to say no if it's not limited to PvM.
Even in PvM, solo hunting or group hunting where a designated looter is picked, it would be alright, random groups and quests would not. So if it's all or nothing, definitely nothing.
