This is OP and in my opinion.

I find it hard to decide whether I'd prefer this one or the last one. Last one was very unpredictable, this one at least is more predictable and I guess it gives somewhat of a better chance than the previously that gave none.

However, this whole certain kill after getting hit by any maul/scepter can't help but make me post against this change xD Well, not against as I don't think the old was best, but as a pointer that this change was not enough of a nerf that kill diserves.

3 kill chants in on the same person with 178hp - test carried out twice. 105/105ss magery

178 -> 138 -> 85 -> 9 So 40, 53, 80

178 -> 138 -> 83 -> 4 So 40, 57, 81

Both did the same 40 damage, then 57ish, then 80 and 81

So 3 chants and he is still alive. I must ask this in the most polite of ways but can I have some of what your smoking? Im fresh out man and I am not tripping enough to get the results you were getting.

Its alright lads, kill is OP as hell and paralyse potions are fine. We shall reach balance yet! .. ..... ....

If a person is below 90 hp, it will do 80-88 and not kill him. If a person was below 70hp before you do realise that it was 100% chance to die?

How can that chant have any practical uses at all on the battlefield, I want my 6 dragonsblood back.

So, frost-strike anyone?

The only thing I want to do now is test 105 eval flamestrike on someone with 85 resist to proove yet another point to just to make it that little bit clearer regarding the damage that the 'OP' kill is doing.
Also - If zarekelya stands and casts 3 malleus, and I cast kill on them 3 times - I have a funny feeling the malleus will average do the same if not more damage than kill is. Wanna give me 3 dragbloods and test it out?

Sorry but it does infuriate me to see some bullshit people come off with when it comes to their opinion or especially input on the strength of the things they will be fighting against on the battlefield.
Give me specific numbers like I just have, yes it was pretty constant that is the only thing that wasn't utter crap in your post. Ill take the old kill anyday - but i'd rather have balance which is something alot of people are very unfamiliar with.

85 resist on knight (total hp is irrelevent in this one afaik);
1: 58 damage - resisted
2: 90 damage - didnt resist
3: 90 damage - didnt resist
4: 84 damage - didnt resist

100 resist on necro;
78 damage - didnt resist
86 damage - didnt resist
80 damage - didnt resist
85 damage - didnt resist

The mage had forti eval on - saying that I pvp in forti clothes on athan and it makes zero difference to my damage - also needs looked into kthx. Oh, and this mage test did not require 500gp/cast, closer to 10-20 for the reagents?

Now after seeing what kill is like compared to a mages flamestrike .. come on palma your having a laugh?
I've been hearing people on these forums say mages suck in pvp for the past 10 years, so they make kill worse than flamestrike and your saying its OP? whats that all about man - is it directly due to the fact that it will be being used against you or why are you so biased?

Statistics and numbers with your next OP claim kthx.

A little testing with 101 magery and 109 ss, on a target with 85 resist:

Target at full health, 40 damage
2nd cast when target missing that 40 I did around 65, target still not dead

2nd try I hit with a staff for ~40 damage and then kill did around 65, still nowhere close to dying

3rd try 50 damage with staff and 75 damage with kill

4th 50 with staff, 60 with kill

5th try the same as before...

Don't really know what's this aggressivity and calling me lier for what I said here by ICQ...

I'm not inventing anything and not trying to dodge anything. We have 2 necros on the team and I have a necro myself.

It is just of my opinion that anything like these kind of spells shouldn't exist. Period. Whether anyone likes or not, it's just an opinion.

A spell that once you get hit by a scepter or something, instantly kills you or leaves it for the hellfire wand to finish... is wrong.

Anyway I could foresee this coming so I filmed what I said.

Before I started to film Deven died twice that same way. I knew people would call me a lier so I started to fill all the next shots.

It goes off % of total hp from what I have been told. His hp must really suck because my knight was unblessed and took generally crap damage, still 40 to start.
Most people on the battlefield will have roughly 170-180, so that means my results of 40, 55ish and 80 will be the damage dealt. You just happen to have chosen the character with the lowest HP that ever makes it onto the battlefield.

Tone was hostile because to say its good I thought you were joking - when a mages flamestrike does more damage as shown from my tests. After everyone complaining for years about mages sucking, this gets made worse and you say its great to the extent you aren't sure if you prefer this one or the previous one?
Does that warrent the name kill or the reagents?
If you want to keep it as crap as it is im cool with it, just reduce the casting time a bit and remove the dragons blood and it might, just might, be useable. Otherwise it will just be another un-used chant in the book.

Haha if thats kill i'm not to worried. Is that 40'ish hits from the staff then 70'ish from kill? Average 110 dmg total/55 per hit. Not a single instakill, just 2 hits taking down an unblessed player. Edit: (Not taking down the player, just putting him on deadly low health. Correction: 3 hits taking down an unblessed player)

So it's a 3 hit combo to kill someone with the necro chant Kill. And that is only if the target is unblessed and not drinking any gheals or bandaging.

I think this chant needs a name change.

If it cant kill with 1-2 casts, I agree to that. The sad part is that druid's waterfall deals bout 70-80 damage unresisted on players, bout 40-50 when resisted on 100 animal lore, at least what I've tried for sheets and giggles. So it kills with 2-3 hits aswell, like the Kill chant. And I feel you Athan with the reagent costs, waterfall takes 1 mandrake root 2 black pearls and it deals nice damage. It's pretty much the only damage combat spell worth using on druid, but this isn't about druids. Kill chant should actually live up to its name.

edit: and Im talking bout 85 or more resist chars.

one more edit: waterfall is a great spell! :> didnt mean to whine!

Yeah bad example wallac, necros wont be doing three hits... Point is that if a priest like zarek looses 40% health in battle he can die to a kill, and if not, chances are high the hellfire will finish it.

And Athan, one cant have sucky Hp with 115 base, rhodium archer suit + jewels.

Anyway I given my opinion. Someone who gets paralyzed and a necro is there, this is almost certain kill. Im ouuut of the topic xD

3 kill chants doesn't even do that based on my test.

In every test I have performed, a mages flamestrike does higher damage regardless of what % life i catch the person with a kill chant. Flamestrike > kill
If a mage flamestrikes a priest with gm he does more than 50% of his life in one flamestrike.

If a priest is at 40% health he can pretty much die from anything. (Calculating 40% out of 180hp equal 72hp. 72 hits are common)

Just saying. Current Kill is like a good flamestrike from a mage. Might aswell make something new and useful from it then. I know it's still in testing phase so I ain't blaming the GM's. They warned us it might be under-powered. Just feedback from all the stats/info you have been giving.
