Giant bone tunic better then elite auropean chain tunic ?

Bouth items brand new and Chain tunic is never used and its Elite quality, yet it gives 1 less ar then exeptional Giant bone tunic ? something is wrong here ?

I've wondered the same myself, that everyone uses giant bones and that they're that strong.

Chains were never famous for their AR.

Plate beats bone there.

Ye its weird and shouldnt be like this, some newer bones and hides have insane ar boost that inbalances the whole lether -> bone -> ingot system.

If say auro boost is 12, it doesnt make sense that the giant bone boost is 18. It should be equivelent and be 12 as well to keep the ratio between leather -> bone -> ingot. The ar different should come from the base armor imo.

But mages/bone users getting more base armor than chainmail users doesnt make a lot of sense either.

Giant bone set gives more AR than an auropian archer set even.

Full bone suit = +35
Archer set/Plate set = +40


Comparing bone suit to chain suit, I understand. Priests are the only full chain users regarding fighters, and although their blesses can compensate the difference and more, we can try and figure if it's supposed to be this way or not.

Comparing to archer set is useless. Plates will always be able to wear 1 more part. I'd trade AR for +5 in all elements any time.


Additionally, a bone set takes nearly 200 bones without fail. A chain set is about 100, a smith can perhaps clarify the exact amount.

Crafting armor is crazy rng, average is maybe 120-130 ingots for a set, but can go up to 200 and 300 for chains in a streak of bad luck.

Unfortunately that's also common to tailors. I've had sets in the past needing over 500 bones with 110/110.
