its a good idea, makes it 100% that the attacker informed the victim.
but i agree it might be tedious trying to target someone who is running,
why not make the target have a radius? especially if you are attacking 2 people or a group, we cant be expected to target each one..
or better yet, just make it send the gump to every player within X tiles, not really a big deal if it happens to send it to your ganking partners too.
and i would just remove the 15 seconds and instead put something like "A player has challenged you. You can be attacked if you FLEE or you can STAND STILL to let roleplay dictate the outcome"
To start a pvp event, instead of writing the usual "Halt !" you now use the .halt command?
After that comes the rp part...
Now an example, that i guess its a loop hole.
A robber arrives at aznars rune keep, he .halted B person. B person runs to city. The 15 seconds allows B to safely run to town.
Can't the command have something like... If target moves x tiles then the A person is allowed to attack?
Hmm ... why do you want to rob someone who is only a couple seconds away from town/safe zone in the place anyways? In real sense the guards can clearly see what is happening right outside the gate unless they are really short-sighted *chuckles*. I think it is good and I think Adram had a point. Maybe when you type .halt, like .point, it gives you a cruiser and wherever you target it will give a warning you were being chased for a halt within a certain radius.
Before it said that you could attack someone that ran from you "Halt!" with the "Halt!" above your chars head and the victim on screen and enough SS to prove that the victim was in fact running from you.
Now it just says that you can attack once the new .Halt timer runs out.
You are only encouraged to use the .halt, there is no rule saying you must. Thus a few people will still use normal "Halt!" with no timer. Someone gotta edit the rules and add the classic "Running from a halt" part.

yeah this is what i was saying in my previous post. remove the 15 sec and add that instead

I think the rules mean to say you use your regular "Halt! This is a robbery!" first as usual. But if the victims should decide to run or pretend they did not hear, you use .halt command to indicate the time when they clearly received your intention. But the wait time before you can attack is 15 seconds after .halt.
