Maximum ping: 460ms
Average ping: 430ms
Minimum ping: 400ms

Fluidity of the game:
I'm able to walk but not run. Not possible to hunt or PvP, but it's possible to grind away/macro- connection drop outs occur approx. once every 10 hours.

Connection:
2G (EDGE), ~10 kilobytes per second

Cost of connection: 100 Rs per GB.

Further plans in the future:
Outsource Imperial merchanting so we can expand the empire, muwahahaha ^_^

I'm a pretty heavy internet user compared to everyone else over there and I'm using a daily 300MB, 1GB costs Rs 100 (£1), so around £0.30 a day.

This might not seem like much but you have to remember I'm limited by the bandwidth, if the internet here was 10 times faster I'd be on YouTube and I would be downloading a LOT more.

If you're using a foreign SIM, expect to be bankrupted if you're using the internet as heavily as I do. If I used roaming on my UK SIM, I'd be charged £1.50 per MB... £450 for 300MB?

If you're going abroad and you realise you're a techno/internet addict (as I recently discovered), get a local SIM. In India that might take a couple of days, and you need to provide a photocopy of your passport, visa and a spare photo of your face (what else?)- a bit too extreme for just wanting a SIM for a month but that's how Indians seem to like it :\
