Re: Oblivion: The 5th Religion
We were all well aware no one could do anything until they reach the minimum of 30 piety. Asking to do miracles, cast rituals not to mention fight with 10 piety is simply ridiculous and everyone posting on this topic knows that. You might find it amusing no one did anything, you might use it against us and make jokes out of it, but seriously you know just as well as I know you simply do nothing but idle and macro while you have 10 piety. Claiming otherwise makes you a hypocrite douche-bag. We knew what it required and people were prepared to "idle" for weeks to get to the point where they can actually do stuff.
Had there indeed not been GM intervention as promised in the beginning, the new HP for Tekstone had been voted a month ago. Script-wise the HP vote was supposed to be automatic the moment 50% disloyalty was achieved. We did the math, we had the players required, but due to GM intervention those plans were thrown to trash. When we were at around 60% loyalty, the automatic-vote was removed (or at least that's what we were told) and therefore we had no other choice but to wait for 30 piety to start fighting - which sadly required minimum of 45 days of idling.
Now what comes to Oblivion. Now that people were finally getting 30 piety and thus ready to start doing what they were supposed to do, Oblivion was made. I don't know if some players knew about it, but it came as a complete surprise to me. What comes to no posts made yet, I think it's because a lot of stuff are still completely open. Imho they should have waited and allowed the insurgents to proof themselves now that they finally got to the point able to do something, but what is done is done.
I'm equally eager to see what will be the goal and description of Oblivion.

Actually, Daren, I think you're a bit wrong here. When me and Palma count in all the members and did the math, we had gotten below 50% disloyalty in two weeks with 20 piety had all the members joined - this had happened even if/when the original Tekstone recruited more members. Sadly, due to the shit-storm that was raised, not everyone got to join + the automatic HP vote was deactivated completely ruining our plans.Daren Priesten wrote:once all our members were 30 piety the % of loyalty would drop below 50% and we would have elected the new HP and excom you and any others who opposed us. The GMs saw this ahead of time and made us into a different religion, everything is being worked on now so it will not be introduced RP-wise until later.

I don't really care why, but still want to know more.
What is the purpose of this religion? To who do they pray? What special rites do they have? Where is their altar? etc.

Re: Oblivion: The 5th Religion
We barely have enough players for 4 religions. And now add another religion into the Tome balance mix? Nah. No thanks.

So a takeover just by sneaking in the zerg and then vote out the hp? Pretty lame and dishonorable way of getting the HP spot, Dennac does not approve. You guys had ~2 months to prove yourselves but you did next to nothing, not having piety is only an excuse.Darian Darkmind wrote:We were all well aware no one could do anything until they reach the minimum of 30 piety. Basicly this. The Gm's were gonna kick the fake-tekstoners but instead decided to make a 5th religion from the ex-nature/ex-law. Not a decision I can agree with. As stated above.

I assure you if Darian was more active we would have had some great RP and PVP/raids etc but we could barely get him on for 20 minutes out of the week. Sorry to disappoint you.

That attitude won't help anyone except yourself on this matter. Things like this is an easy fix.Daren Priesten wrote:What's done is done.

Hp vote was disabled for tekstone??? How would you do things you mentioned? but anyway i don't mind an other religion except im not sure the size of our player base can hold 5th religion, we hardly had enought people for 4 religions, but ok, lets see what comes out of this
