Character Transfer to RunUo

Donations mean that people can donate if they want. If people are forced to pay then they can ask an invoice

RunUO doesn't need much funds anyway. It's lag free

Also forcing people to pay for character transfer is something that staff wouldn't want, I think.

Good way to get started on a new shard with that 1 transfer and sort of allows us to retain our identity somewhat, not to mention a good way to help fund the shard

And way to chainge our name (and look maybe?) to give a new start.

I voted full transfer. I recently came back to playing on Pangaea a couple months ago. I have had 2 characters of my own restored as well as my wife's 4 chars. Isn't that enough of a donation? Plus friends and family have recently had their characters restored.

I am fine generally as long as I get to play but losing all characters for some people may be too much due to the amount of work and time they put into them(not just in terms of macroing).

Due to this I voted for 1 Transfer and 5-10 € donation per char, as this way it will allow a removal of some classes due to people not being able to afford it/not wanting to spend the money and choosing to train from the start again(an easier process this time maybe?) and at the same time it will allow us to raise some funding towards server costs without forcing us all to go begging for spare change outside Boris's mansion

So the problem with this lies in the fact as recent as two weeks ago I paid to have characters restored, if I paid money for friends characters to be restored to a sinking ship, I think I'm out. I've spent a good chunk of change over the last two months enticing friends and family to come back and play by restoring partial accounts back to some of their formal glory.

More importantly, I don't know if I could personally be bothered training my characters up again from scratch, there isn't going to be an amazing system of increased skill gains, it's Ultima you will still be forced to put in hours of macroing and training just to get a character playable, unless there is some drastic game changing scripting that is going to happen, which won't because the old blood will complain that it changes Pangaea too much thus it'll remain the same or similar to how it is now.

I'm not sure I get the reason why we need to donate more money to the server when the server has a good chunk of change already. What is the current amount at and what will it look like after the next 6 months? Need someone to check into this with the person that has the answer. Furthermore, my thinking on a switch to RunUO is this: everything stays the same except the foundation of which Ares / Kevin will be working on, meaning: RP of religions / characters / IG politics etc. will continue on as usual, barring some special situations. Everything on the backend that will change shouldn't affect the current community overly much.

I say full transfer since we would be forced to move to runuo and not having a chance to stay on pang 1 like before when Seraph and them started the Pang 2 project. Also how able is the staff to make this change?
