Orange Spheres - What are they?

So on our way to watch X Men: Days of Future Past last night.... we encounter these strange orange spheres in the sky. We ruled out flares, meteors, jets, planes and sattelites. There's been reportings of these exact same spheres appearing all over the world within the last 4 years. So what are they? Where do they come from? Why does this happen? So many questions and possibilities. Let's not begin a flame fest, but do feel free to post your thoughts and opinions.

I am curious to see everyones thoughts on what these are. I hope it's not just some local moron playing a hoax because there was a meteor shower that was supposed to have happened sometime after 11 PM our time, and these began appearing around 9:20 PM. Shame I missed the meteor shower though. However my highlight of the night was not the movie, but these strange things.

tbh i have no idea what that might be.

but like 2 or 3 months me and a friend of mine saw a green sphere just like that on the sky, but it disappeared as soon as it appeared, it lasted like 3 seconds. and it moved slowly, not like a meteor

Sky lanterns make sense, yes. It's becoming a trend, particularly in Europe, to copy middle east traditions and use them on holidays/festivals.

Well...you know what means a lantern with a bat sign...and the constant faillure from imps to takeover trinsic etc.... so they turned to real world, since there's no staff; bugged scripts; and order of law to stop them!
