Can the gm's please turn off the damn taxes for the period where NO ONE (ok, there may be two or three guys playing) is playing? it's pissing me off having to log in and paying the taxes just for the sake of it. not to mention, i happened to have a house in moonglow and the taxes are taking all my money

I agree with this.

Hmmmmm... I think I may have been able to get it disabled... I don't think that guys get fired even if you end up with insufficient funds. I'd test it out carefully though...
Re: Stop taxes for awhile
I think it was about being able to refresh houses even if we owe tax money?
Re: Stop taxes for awhile
Will confirm with Kevin and make sure that I'm right, but I think that vendors/guards will no longer fired if there is insufficient funds in the townstone.

just adding something to this since no one mentioned it:
Some towns got 200 days put on the tax payment countdown. Not all towns got it.
Make ppl have to pay taxes, set all taxes to 1% and a 200 day timer, id be ok with that

Re: Stop taxes for awhile
Currently people do have to pay taxes if you want to refresh your house, not sure what you mean unless this was changed.
I'm going to be selling my Moonglow house here in the next few days because I am not interested in paying the three or four percent it was hiked to, I haven't had much time to play lately and well, tbh the only reason I'd log on now is to macro my archer's skills so I don't need two houses for that so it will give me more gold to throw into my Nujel'm house in terms of taxes.
I don't know the tax rate of the other cities but this is not a good time to be throwing tax rates above 1%, play rate has dropped and as a result some peoples gold flow has trickled to a standstill, I understand and appreciate the tax system as it serves to free up houses that would have otherwise been sat of for two years but due to well! it's A.) still summer in most places I think and B.) Pang RunUO is being developed, some of us would rather hang out in the sun and also are not interested in losing freshly acquired items when Pangeddon hits.

Agreed should be some incentive to have people play, if not the player base maybe small for this runuo project.
