Re: Shout outs
It was changed to drop your skill from 100 to 70 instead of 100 to 0. If you failed a check with 100 skill that is. So 30%.Maximilian Lhoth wrote:What was done to it?Gorath Blackmind wrote:Also for the macrocheck fail punishment. Its a lot more humane now. :>
Re: Shout outs
Bad thing is that, you're losing your heightened gains INCLUDING -30% skill of that too.
So instead of taking the heighten gains for a MC fail, it's taking the whole -30% AND the Hgains, think it's a bit of an excageration dont you guys think so?
Should be only a quarter of heightened gains which it would take imho (how about 0.3-0.4% per fail?).
Heightened gains are capped gainwise for 3 days so it's too much.
Plus; On this small playerbase, we should actually focus on having fun instead of shoving hate from one side to another. Pang's been challenging in every aspect, but taking away our wasted time is pretty inhumane, macrocheck fails could lock any skillgains for a certain area for a certain time, but taking it away is a bit of pointless and demotivating, with the gainlock it wouldn't make one to ragequit or whatnot, instead, they could go out and do stuff/rp while the timer drops to zero and the player can gain again.

Re: Shout outs
i think that is already a lot with lowering MC punishment to only 30% off the skill, but some people will just stay greedy for more more and more. You give them finger and they will try to get your whole arm.
Re: Shout outs
From 30% to 100% (depending on skill ofcourse) it's a question of days to train.
Now lets compare a skill which gets dropped from heightened to 30%
How long does that take to train?
So it doesn't really matter if it's 30 or 70%, we're talking of a different situation here.
Heightened gains are different and _capped_ with a timer, where you can gain only periodically (every 3'rd day) and they are not coming easy, you should know that yourself if you have a heightened char, if you dont have anything constructive to add here, then it's pretty much provoking from you.
But this is nowhere the right thread to discuss this anyway.
I'm done, sorry for any inconveniences.

Re: Shout outs
The problem is actually very easy to avoid altogether. Dont fail macrochecks.
Re: Shout outs
In time we'll address this and review macrocheck punishments entirely but for the moment it is what it is.Zaradon wrote: Heightened gains are different and _capped_ with a timer, where you can gain only periodically (every 3'rd day) and they are not coming easy, you should know that yourself if you have a heightened char, if you dont have anything constructive to add here, then it's pretty much provoking from you.

Re: Shout outs
I'd like to give a shout out to Simmo for this nice session. A moment that could have gone worse but didn't since the role play session was pleasing. It didn't feel like a rushed robbery and effort was put in. I felt satisfied to give what ever was asked for.
Re: Shout outs
Shout out for the HC RP shenanigans at TWF HQ. Special thanks for Emirien for giving some old RP harlots crazy new material to work with.
