I was wondering the same. Thing is, you can lose a LOT of stuff in this war. Only thing you can't lose is Magic Cloth, simply for the fact that there aren't many in circulation, nor is there many people to buy cloth. Elites, with enough material, elites can be crafted quite often. Armour can be crafted quite often. Buying focus material isn't cheap, nor is replacing armour and weapons for those involved in the fighting.

It costs around 100k to outfit a Priest for a fight if you want to go old school and buy armour instead of hunting to find magic armour.

The rules make it so you can have fun fighting, but you don't get all pissy when you're dumb enough to be caught wearing indestructable long pants of meditation and magic resistance with 60 charges...

And Kent, the rules did not reflect robber rules. Only stipulations between Order of Imperial, and Order of Law.

The way this is set up, is a) if you want a fight, you got one, and you're going to lose a LOT of stuff if you wanna dance. b) Even if "oh crap! I'm still wearing indy cloths!" you don't have to worry about losing a 300k cloth. And c) taking the playerbase into consideration, if we started ganking people wearing rare and expensive cloths, how many are going to want to stick around?

Read the rules, Diam, they were well thought out by both Quin, and myself, and we didn't put rules down on paper unless they seemed fair to both sides. If I were to be fighting against two Imps wearing my daemonskull chain armour with elite chest, and carrying my damned elite snograz sceptor around... I would have a lot to lose if Imperial got the better of me. Think about it, you still have a LOT, and I mean a LOT to lose if you are looking for a fight.

From what I know magic cloth LOOTING to your own pockets is not allowed - but if you go decide to die in middle of 5 enemy emissaries, the nearest shrine being 1000 tiles away and all allies dead, the the enemies aren't forced to take the clothes and bring them to nearest shrine. Stay careful with them clothes.

If my guild is allied with Imperial, and let's say I am robbing, I can only rob for gold and gems, right? so a Law shows up, kills me, and dryloots me. Sound fair? Or is this not the way it will work in that situation? It is pretty much me hunting I guess.

If you are allied with Imperial and hang around in Felucca, someone will soon alert Law anyway, same with me in Malas (though the one arriving will be OoI and not OoL).

Two days earlier I went to my Umbra "fortress" to bring some real good clothes into my bankbox... used a gem for moongate: tracked - Alus Vitellus 120 steps... hoped he is not coming into my direction! Yes! I managed to get into the house and lock the doors... tracking.. tracking... until no imperialist nearby anymore, so i went to bank, made a gate fast to a portal guy and sneaked away. Success.

Did same today.. *tracking* *tracking* ... emptied junk from my bankbox into my Umbra house to make some room to the bank, but tracked no one anywhere, was easier this time!

So then, once again robbers are hated by all religions else they get the short end of the stick?

Huh? No, except if you're allied with Imperials with which Law is at war. I don't see why Law would dryloot your robber char. The looting rules that were posted count ONLY for the WAR.

Actually law can only KILL the robber. Not loot. If the robber is not Imperial allied officially (in a guild) of course. Robber life isn't the most exciting. :)

Same with robbers, Order of Law is only allowed to loot Gold & Gems from robbers. Under the assumption previously mentioned items were procured illegally.

Well, what kent means is that if they remain allied with us, and fight law at Luna / Brit / Trinsic or just in some battlefield some place.
His guild has been reckonised as a part of the war, so when they go to rob somebody in Felucca, they can only take gold and gems, but if Law catches and kills them, Law are open for dryloot.
