A small reminder
Concerning attacks from water, just in case you missed the shard rules:
Player versus Monsters (PvM)
Due to some of the errors in the map, or limited monster AI, we have been forced to add some rules regarding Player versus Monster.
Because of the some problems with line of sight with the map, it is in some areas possibly to shoot arrows/magic through the mountains. This type of hunting is not legal.
Shooting from a boat is illegal, as is luring a monster on a boat to attack it.
Any attacking with arrows/magic where the monster is stuck, or prevented to get to you, will be considered abusing.
Any training situation where the monster is stuck, or prevented to get to you, will be considered abusing.
The above rules does not apply if the monster is "stuck". Most obvious example is the "stuck"/stranded” monsters in T2A, who are spawned on some isolated hill. In such a case you are allowed to kill the monster, in order to add it to the spawn pool again. But if you gain any item from such a kill, its considered illegal.

Re: A small reminder
Incorrect, it is very few who know every detail of every rule, and possible exceptions. For example - is Law emmy killing from a ship considered normal PvM in which you want loot (emmies have none?), or is it PvP in which you hurt your enemy.Alteran wrote:well you have all read the rules so

Re: A small reminder
The rule itself clearly refers to hunting as in use as an advantage to get loot from monsters that way. This type of hunting is not legal.
But another issue is should the rules be revised and add any NPC to the list which should not be harmed from boats - including guards and emissaries. That's up to staff to take on the table. But as I said, currently it forbids only monsters so attacking emmies or guards is not illegal.

And if there are, maybe those who have placed them, should think more carefully where to place them.Troy wrote:I dont think there are any emmmies that can be killed from a boat though.

Re: A small reminder
Law has boats.
But go ask Imperial's and Tekstone's that tried that joke before what happened. Oh wait I can tell you, boats were nerfed, skills were dropped and accounts were jailed for abusing rules.

This means: illegal, unless a rule change is made. Skills dropped? Pretty hardcore? I would suppose warning first time, if repeated by same person, a couple days of jail.Rohan Koht wrote:But go ask Imperial's and Tekstone's that tried that joke before what happened. Or a bored GM can build a wall to the beach at Law temple; problem solved.
