what's with this 42 all over the place?
i think i even remember seeing this most stupid film ever where this computer told this very wise people that the answer to the meaning of life was 42.
lol why 42?who started it?

Firstly, not a stupid movie, the books are infinitely better, but the movie is okay too.

Secondly,

The number 42 is in the novel The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything is calculated by an enormous supercomputer over a period of 7.5 million years to be 42. Unfortunately no one knows what the question is. Thus, to calculate the Ultimate Question, a special computer was created, the size of a small planet, to use organic components, called "Earth".

I'm not saying that I found it crap, I actually enjoyed it, but some of the "monsters" were pure stupidity.
Some parts were a bit more philosophical though hehe
So, the whole 42 thing started from there?
I didn't even know there were books.
