I remain surprised that a lone gunman killed 80 people. Though I find it hard to believe, this doesn't mean that he wasn't alone when he did this. Tragedies like this make me wonder if making guns illegal would make any difference as those of criminal minds will find ways of obtaining them whilst the general public (most people are decent good people) remains unarmed, hence unable to do much about a deranged gunman.

A blogger reviews some of what the gunman had written before he went on the rampage:
http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2011 ... ged_mi.php

What he was involved in:
The Knights Templar was re-founded as a pan-European nationalist military order and a military/criminal tribunal with two primary objectives. The order is to serve as an armed Indigenous Rights Organisation and as a Crusader Movement (anti-Jihad movement).
No doubt this will be gold for those wanting to ban video games, he was treating it as some kind of a game mission:
But I'm pretty sure I will pray to God as I'm rushing through my city, guns blazing, with 100 armed system protectors pursuing me with the intention to stop and/or kill. I know there is a 80%+ chance I am going to die during the operation as I have no intention to surrender to them until I have completed all three primary objectives AND the bonus mission. When I initiate (providing I haven't been apprehended before then), there is a 70% chance that I will complete the first objective, 40% for the second , 20% for the third and less than 5% chance that I will be able to complete the bonus mission. It is likely that I will pray to God for strength at one point during that operation, as I think most people in that situation would.
Furthermore (video games have often been called "killing simulators"):
I'm afraid that the potential fear I might experience during the mission will paralyze me or will result in me "crapping my pants" so to speak. Theoretically, this will not happen, as I have grown to be extremely mentally disciplined and I have undergone numerous hours of training and simulations.
So this guy's an anti-jihadist, who shares the same view as his jihadist enemies regarding women (restricting female rights), examples:
1. Limit the distribution of birth-control pills
2. Reform sex education
3. Making abortion illegal
4. Women and education

For some time now, I was thinking of moving to Norway as it is not densely populated, it's a very beautiful developed country with little if any religious lunatics (people I'm trying to escape atm). Now this recent event has me doubting my decision, Norway has to deal with two sides here- militant Islamists, and also militant Christians/nationalists. Also being non-white would make me standout...

I also can't imagine what the families are going through right now, that one man could cause so much damage, it's not just those who died in the shooting that are the victims- the families of those who died are also victims.

even those who didn't die at the camp are still victims. Post traumatic stress among many other psychotic issues as a result. i read all about it in the news today he was some kind of political right winger who hates Islam and couldn't get his point across in the government so he went on a shooting spree

I'm not surprised that a lone gunman killed that many people, you definitely wouldn't see that many in a public area in America. Before a citizen returned fire...

Not too sure if that's a good or bad thing though.

I hope they send this guy to some rotten African prison for rest of his life. Jail in Norway is too good for guy like that, death penalty is too easy for this guy. I would send him to place where he will suffer rest of his miserable life!

So is Swedish too. Maybe a prison in Iraq would suffice?
