RP wise there is no problem IMO. Also there is a small amount of GM tamers, everyone would know it's the same guy. I've seen worse!

It's just that he has been referring to himself using only his surname!

The problem is, it is not a name "change".

For example, if my name was Mikko Juhani Virtanen

I could refer to myself as

1) Virtanen
2) Mikko
3) Mikko Virtanen
4) Mikko Juhani Virtanen
5) Juhani Virtanen
