Baseclass Restriction

Post by Tyrion »

Would it be possible to add some sort of baseclass restriction either to people entering the Britain market, people taking items placed in the Britain Market or something similar? Obviously this would not stop baseclass characters from looting the market but some common sense should be applied here. Perhaps adding a restriction to the items taken would do the trick as well. I bring this up because I have heard many rumors regarding no items ever being available in there and there really ought to be a surplus of items. Thought, comments and suggestions welcome. And go!

Edit: Might need to be moved to ideas section, fyi.

I was also very surprised today to find not much in those boxes. Probably a bit more respect is the ultimate solution.

People are always going to be ass holes, i don't think you can completely stop this but i do agree with your idea of blocking non-base class players from entering, but how do we drop off items then?

There could be a drop-off point outside of the market or dropping off items would be allowed but not picking up. I'm sure staff could come up with better ideas than I because of their understanding of how the mechanics of the game work from their POV.

Can the GM's implement some sort of punishment for taking out bags to sell for gold?

Obviously some kind of rules need to be set though.

It started out as good intention but seems to have been an idea that needs some regulation.

It will be stupid if there will be the need to set regulation. I do find it very lame if someone goes there to loot everything and/or sell to the vendor. If I see such thing being done I will mark the account and punish accordingly and destroy all gained materials. It is only take what is needed, something that will benefit all the baseclass community. There doesn't exist any proper RP to make excuse to loot more than what is needed.

i think the other reason is that some baseclass players and people who have just classed are getting killed and getting drylooted by players.. recently a few days ago a noobie blacksmith was killed outside of britain.. so it would explain why the britain market has nothing much there..

i was thinking the best solution would be you can only take 5 items once every 24 hours, but ive no idea how hard that is to program
