i strangely agree with mike too
not on the pleasing gm's thing, but his post which was supposedly metaphilosophical had some truth
Players create the storyline in Pangaea, or do they?

Pleasing as roleplaying well of course affects to our actions, but pleasing as OOC for the sake of pleasing leads nowhere. That's what I meant.

Strange i thought it had something to do with you running into law temple and attacking an officer withtout any rp whatsoever...Quintoz wrote:CorrectemundoWolfie wrote:Uhhhh.... that entire attack was within rp? I fail to see why he shoulda gotten one.Azrael wrote:
If I am accurate Castiel gota piety drop for attacking a necromance in britain back when he was first turned red with johnny walac

Just quit it already and stay on the topic.

All options are incorrect. No need to keep on guessing either.
Players have the power to do as they wish to a certain limit. When that limit is crossed, we interfere and control. If you're uncertain about an action, ask the staff to be sure. We also follow the spiderman-logic: With great power comes great responsibility. In Pangaea terms that means the more you have piety, the more we expect from you.

Leather armor is best for sneaking, because it's literally made from hide.

I understand that Boris, you have to interefere when a limit is crossed.
but wouldn't it be interesting (if gm's and players agree) that slight changes are introduced? instead of always the same storyline, some changes would happen (like a bigger quest) like the corruption of a religion or something like that.
i wouldn't see the harm with gm's deciding something like that when all players agree and think it would be fun..
sort of like a quest that would involve the entire rp state of things, and it would last more than a few hours.could be weeks, months...

It's possible to destroy other religions, but that requires a lot. It's not about the superiority of the religion that's winning... more like the lack of effort and/or weakness of the losing party (i.e. Malas and Imperial). Generally big things are possible and we give free hands to all, but do discuss the happenings with the staff before doing something radical.

Re: Players create the storyline in Pangaea, or do they?
i wouldn't go as far as destroying a religion.
but i wouldn't mind seeing something that would create problems even if for imperial, if it was something interesting.
of course, when people know they can lose their items they also never want their side to be at a disadvantage..
i didn't get the part with malas and imperial. was there a losing party and ppl whining about it?
or do you mean when malas was closed?
what i'd like to see is things that could be made possible (but hard to do) and those things would severely damage opposite religions.
just like the roxio thing.
or stealing the staff of mother earth.
or an esuna statue.or whatever. or closing dennac's black gate.
if gm's come up with it, then it's up for players to agree with it and then, players playing decide the rest.
instead of this being a one time opportunity, it would be somethign that would always exist. but it would be so hard to accomplish that in general people wouldn't do it repeatedly as they do with corrupting the altar.
the altar corruption idea was something like this would be.
but corrupting the altar is always the same thing, and the effects aren't that bad.
what i would like is something much harder to do, less common (new rp ideas for something that one would do against a religion instead of just corrupting altar) and with bigger consequences

I think it's time to lock this topic. I made it so I also ask for locking.
Too much out of topic things coming in and I also got comments about the
main topic.
Thanks
