an Ideer how to balance things

Re: an Ideer how to balance things
From my point of view, there's a simple issue of pokehunting which is not fixed by most of the suggestions.
Restricting dragons and bigger pets from priests would be the correct option, afterall they aren't bards or tamers or anything - and their rites, weapons etc would be used in the correct manner.
Nerfing resist/healing/weapons/rites would just tip the balance for options from priests to more towards pets. Staffs themselves are pretty useless for any proper hunting, despite rites - and dropping the ability to take hits with healing/resist would lead towards using a tank, the dragon.
Now piety is a different issue and very far integrated in the whole priest system. It's correct that it was made to encourage roleplay, but that's only a small part of it. Or were priests the only class that roleplayed? I'm not exactly sure how the piety system works now, but regardless the fact that it's an untrainable affinity still keeps it as a unique and necessary part of priests.
So, to restate it, take out the hunting pets from priests.

Hear it not my lord, for it is a knell. That summons thee to heaven, or to hell.

Dragons will be removed from Priest .
Tamers will still be able to tame some of them , druid , necromancers will still be able to use dragons since they lag a lot in there spells , those spells will be look at further on but not at this point.
Mages will not be able to use dragons either.
Let the whine begin.
Still need our mage friend to help me out on balance the mage , but i guess he has been busy.
it will happen when i have found the scribt and found the time to change it.

What kinds of dragons will be made untameable, and which will stay tameable? Current plans?Alteran wrote:Tamers will still be able to tame some of them , druid , necromancers will still be able to use dragons since they lag a lot in there spells , those spells will be look at further on but not at this point.
At least druid, necromancer and tamer can use dragons therefore. Priest and mage cannot. But what about the following classes: monk, archer, ranger and scribe? They can, at the moment, use dragons as well.Mages will not be able to use dragons either.
Re: an Ideer how to balance things
I'm trying out figure out why necromancers should get to use dragons but not mages. Necromancers can already easily solo big things LIKE dragons.

i would say no to thise classes too.But what about the following classes: monk, archer, ranger and scribe? then i need to ask why are there so few of them ? , simple because i thought they sucked big time ?.Necromancers can already easily solo big things LIKE dragons

Re: an Ideer how to balance things
No they don't suck, they are a great class, its just hard starting out because of the rarity of necromancer scrolls and the expensive reagents.

They don't suck at all.Alteran wrote:then i need to ask why are there so few of them ? , simple because i thought they sucked big time ?.Necromancers can already easily solo big things LIKE dragons

Answer to why there are so few of them is they are expensive (reagents, chants, scribing them to codex) and hard to train.
Necromancer = hard to train, powerful.
Mage = easy to train, rather weak.
Druid = medium level to train, quite ok, could be stronger.
