Why? Being inside religion with a non piety char never been good idea due to ridicules opposite religion damage to our lower armor... But hunting with a priest was beneficial to both parties even when we are outside religion.
I think this is further isolate religion on its own and decrease the need for allying or hunting with religions outside. You might want to get rid of oposite religion damage while your at it so non piety people will have reason to join religion.

when this rule has been made? imo if this rule comes religions will be even more isolated from non-religions

I guess the whole idea of this change is that if you want to benefit from weapon/armour bless, you must also face the increased damage from opposite religion.

Jyrgen pretty much got it. It's tried out at the moment. Non-religious players hitting religion damage, but not recieving religion damage is simply wrong. It's a double advantage.
