Robbers, tekstones and other reds have hard time mostly unlike blue ones as Darian said, also law is made so it will deal more dmg and pwn our asses easily with their tome.

RP > PVP ofcourse

Risks as robber are huge i've hardly even myself as a new robber gotten used to them and if it was as it used to be it would be impossible for me as robber i simply couldnt stand the fact that some day someone might come and make my char unplayable for month? or two months? or that they could maledict my heighten skills away?

If its anyones reason that we are roaming around freely its law, use .mayday when you even see a red name do what ever you must to not get robbed if you feel it so unbearable. When i was a noobie i got robbed a lot and it was dryloot back then EVERYTHING went all useful got ripped off me at first i ofc whined and hated robbers for it later i realised that its pretty refreshening to lose stuff or gain stuff trough fighting.

And as an information i myself as a robber think im playing pretty fair (meaning 2d thing ofc YES once again i bring it up) as long as there is not out side of game facts that decide the fight its pretty fair game, when 3d comes against 2d its not fair in anyway, nearly anyone could beat me in a fight with 3d.

I play 2d myself because those who i rob dont most likely use 3d for hunting and imo its just fair towards them that my char speed wont make them die always and they get their chances to get away if they decide to run.

Wiki wrote: A role-playing game is a game in which the participants assume the roles of characters and collaboratively create stories. Participants determine the actions of their characters based on their characterisation, and the actions succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines. Within the rules, they may improvise freely; their choices shape the direction and outcome of the games.

Agreed.

Also, hey everyone =)

Have to add something to this and i've read 95% post replies on this thread.
But as a major fact, if we put RP and Robbery in the old days, those two words were going along really well.
As for talking about newage, the RP and Robbery isn not going along with eachother nowadays.

Thus the reasons why robbery/looting system went downhill. It's the weak players, lacking the skill to roleplay a robber and a common sense. (i.e looting vamps etc.)

There was a fellow i fell into an argument the other day about robbery system and i agreed on some facts about the robbery system on Pangaea.

But who or what do we blame? Rules are made by GM's according to the "balance"

1. Considering the small playerbase, the robber guilds started to raise amazingly quick, don't you think?
2. The players in the Robber guilds, half/some of them (NO OFFENSE TO ANYBODY HERE!!!!) don't even speak a decent English to have a good spine for Roleplaying a High class Robbery.

Conclusion to fact 1; We do have a small playerbase with a count of 30-50 at most, lets say 10 of them are already active robbers. That's a good amount to wipe the 50 online count by 10, 40 players to rob with 10 robbers - dont you think that's a little of too much?

Conclusion to fact 2; That has been talked about multiple times, RP before robbery, rules, headhunt, cant logout for 15 minutes after a robbery - yada yada yada. The roleplay is a key and our robbers fail to use it, they like to see blood and care only for looting.

EDIT; I personally am 95% PVM and 5% PVP player and i dont mind having a robbery system on the shard, it's always been spicing things up for the playerbase overall. I do have some ideas considering the "Robber's stocking items into chests to collect dust" and the other thing i dont like about robbery is that you have a chance of 0.000001% getting back your belongings. That's the only reason i dont like it here :)

The whole sentence is wrong but i'll help you.

Small "R" at "Robber guilds"
Small "E" at "English"
Small "R" at "Roleplaying"
Small "H" at "High"
Small "C" at "Class"
Small "R" at "Robbery"

And the sentence should look something like this.

"Half/some players in the robber guilds don't even speak english good enough to roleplay a robbery."

i can't be bothered saying much, but
why in the world can't people understand pvp is part of rp?
rp would be so much worse without pvp.
i get it, the robbers get it, everyone gets it, it sucks to lose all your stuff.
people simply have to be allowed to kill another player, otherwise it would be a very strange rp world.

we should even be free to kill on sight, pre-cast and all that crap, and the only reason i see for it not being allowed, is that it would get out of hand.

pvp is part of rp, pvm is part of rp, robbing is part of rp, stealing is part of rp, running around is part of rp, walking around is part of rp, eating is part of rp, etc.

it sucks the most when something illegal is involved, but otherwise, even though we all get pissed off when we get robbed, what can we do about it? make a priest, join law and kick their ass. the only thing i don't like is the fact people can safely log in, rob quickly and safely log out, making life for robbers "somewhat easier than it should be" because they can log out for all the time they want, and not even winchester can kill them then.
if there were robbers online 24h/day, but also law members patrolling 24h/day, then i'd consider it "fair" in all terms.

but you just can't prevent pvp. it sounds so ridiculous, the fact that you can't attack another player

in real life, wouldn't it be ridiculous if you were going to slap someone but your hand would stop from reaching its target?...

You are so funny, altough all the what you wrote was kinda offtopic and doesn't make me cry or laugh.
I have a word for you here. If you fail at funny, then just stay quiet.

ONTOPIC; Robbery system on the shard has always injected adrenaline to the players. But nowaday's its gone too lame as we talk about it. Robber's think of what? Profit from their victims, gears, jewels and whatnot.
In the old days, i remember Cabals, they were the same - some of them even lacked the skill to write in english, but that didn't make them bad roleplayers, they just pretended to be deaf or something. That's some RP. Eh, NoX well - i hate them only because im a PVM player and dont really like PvP (Robbers vs Victim PvP to be exact) Because its always unbalanced and the victim will always be outnumbered AND if you die, you will have 0.00001% chance of getting your things back, this is what makes Robber system boring. If the percent would be higher, that would made things much interesting and encourage the victim to try and get their items back.

I am not updated of how strong Law today is and if they care about any request for .mayday but i heard weird stories about that, to put this aside

Attitudes needs to change towards the robbers in this thread an the other way round too theres no need to be trollin for trollin sake if that make sense, the evil one/robbers might be just as nasty and evil irl or they could be a big teddy bears but either way they are just spicing up the rp eviroment (no matter how short it can be or as long) you could always offer money to the robber maybe enough for the murder count he would have to pay for a mark when he does finally realise the error of their way.

The current rules suit the loot/risk.

In future if and when dry loot comes back im sure the staff will come up with one or two more punishments for them the harshest of them being malediction. But seriously folks pvp wont become dry loot unless law become stronger many more members are needed there due to the surge in activity by the theifs (euro timezone mostly)

Happy hunting to pvm n pvps =]

For once I agree with the Big. The player-base is starting, or has already divided into two groups bad-mouthing each other. It's starting to sound like the old good Pangaea.

Welcome to Johnny's school, where you can learn several things, even to copy+paste stuff from Neverwinter, and post in the forum as roleplay. HAHAHA
Adding education to your abilities, almost looks good man lol

When do you guys learn to not post useless "haha you suck , look at you lol" posts on topics which only gets them locked? Try to grow up a bit, it's not much asked. Next time it will be forum jailings.
