Looting update Q&A

Post by Boris »

i.e.

Q: Is this a boost to robbing?
A: No not really. Generally a robber can only ask for items that he sees (armor, weapons, jewerly, perhaps a fancy obsidian steed that you're riding) and if you do as told, that's all he can take from you. On the other hand, if you run away and get killed - you might loose more.

Q: Are newbies still safe from robbing?
A: Yes, unless they ask for it (i.e. running in Despise with auros).

Leather armor is best for sneaking, because it's literally made from hide.

My experience tells me that lunar spears and lizardbone armors are enough, no need for auros! But I still like the change, more ways to get free gheals :>

If you've been robbed in baseclass, contact a member of the staff.

Also remember you can specify your own rules with your enemies. Mainly directed to religions.

i think this is fine. people will be able to lose gheals and stuff. it's minor, but still.
also, no more ppl complaining that someone looted my gheals or scrolls or whatever, but it isn't trackable, so who did it yada yada. now, it safe and "fair" to loot everything but the magical clothes

So you're slowly walking torwards dry loot, so why don't you do it at once already? I mostly see people in brit training with merchants, macrooing all day long, few who dare hunt most likely get robbed, so we all do the same, maco all day long with merchants and no one hunts at all lol

You surely dont get out of city much. I hunt almost every day more than once a week and i actually see people outside city, hunting. And i know much more people who hunt a lot.
