Ahh i definitely vote yes for a weekend like this if it is catered too properly. Solving mysteries or storytelling could be pretty neat.

My first experience with no looting weekend a few years ago was very pleasant, people got to wear what they wanted and spoke to whomever and just had fun, people still derped around with the peekay but there was no stress or grinding nerves along with it.

The encounters of PvP are righteous and abundant nowadays but it is very frustrating to run into anyone you'd want to speak to after combat is initiated, I can barely squeeze in hiveritas.
It also sucks to have to be so focused on battle that you can't even stop to talk to some of your best friends that you are protecting or saving

I would consider it like a weekend sauna getaway for everyone, besides; who doesn't wanna get to know some of the people they Pk daily a bit better ;)

That would be the point of a non-pvp weekend, who will want a non-pvp week day when you have a full time job + other real life matters to attend to?

It would be nice to have at least a day, just ONE day in a month where you can cruise around w/o being concerned about PvP. Even a PvP-free weekend were implemented, PvPers won't lose much considering that PvP would still be permitted 93%+ of the time. But in a way I can see why they would worry- people would not wear decent gear for 28 days, and when the weekened comes everyone is wearing their best stuff :P

But 28 days is a long time man, you would have survival of the most patient :)

This really is is mature players Vs the PvP kids of pangaea. Staff consistently ignore and under value the mature players who would just like to be able to have some fun now and again.

The main reason they are ignored is that they do not whine enough on forums. Reds and Pro Pvp/looting/robbing players have a hive mind that comes into action when they recognize that something is going against their collective interest. Unlike reds these mature players rarely complain on forums and any issues they try to raise are drowned by a torrent of shit created by pro pvp whiney bitches.

Staff need to recognize that some people don't have alot of time to play the game and that being killed and losing items is actually ruining their enjoyment of the playing on this shard. The "this is pangaea, this is how it is" arguement is stupid and leads to losing a certain type of player which is ultimately detrimental to the shard. Id argue that this type of mature player are the ones who actually RP the most. So why not give them a small respite once every month? It does nothing to harm the shard and it will make alot of players happy.

We're not preventing anything. We could make some sort of a system, but this needs much more thoughtwork. Give us a working system and we'll vote on it.

What would be a working system to the staff? I will gladly make one of your liking given i have a little more to work with.

I don't see a need however, if players respect the rule when announced and defined, for example:
Staff announces it on forums "it will be on this date from 0am and will end in 24 hours."

I started with weekend but it doesn't necessarily have to be 48 hours... 24 hours would suffice to satisfy most of the 50% that voted yes.
