Throw them priests down the well, then we have a big party!John Frost wrote:The piety / religion system has been ruined unfortunately
Druid is good for roleplaying a preacher of Gaea!
Necro is good for roleplaying a preacher of Dacca!
Wince would do well without preachers - valiant knights of good LB could fight for Good!
Esuna could take a nap and wake up if needed!

In my shard there is problem
Verse
In my shard there is problem,
And that problem is the crash.
It take very very long,
Because ISP is bad.
Chorus 1
Throw the crash down the well (repeat line)
So my shard can be free (repeat line)
We must make shard funny (repeat line)
Then we’ll have a big party (repeat line)
Verse 2
In my shard there is problem
And that problem is the priest
They stone everybody char
They never free it back
Chorus 2
Throw the priest down the well (repeat line)
So my shard can be free (repeat line)
You must grab him by his horns (repeat line)
Then we have a big party (repeat line)
Verse 3
If you see the priest spamming
You must be careful of his rites
You must grab him by his tome
And I tell you what to do
(Repeat Chorus 2 twice)

Re: Religion transfers
Let's take tomes away and compensate it by giving all priests free (no need to train) 100 eval and 100 magery (heightened priests could switch skills - such as 105 meditation to 105 magery). And ability to cast all spells wearing metal armors+weapons, and also ability to meditate wearing or wielding just anything.
They would still have their metal weapons and 100 healing, unlike mage who has a wooden stick and 0 healing. Even after that they would complain for sure, a lot.
I was not serious with my suggestion but I was serious with the suggestion of the result if this really happened.

Re: Religion transfers
Surprise surprise, another whine-fest featuring the two people getting annoying as f--k with all of the non-stop complaining.Ivan wrote:so trueMaximilian Lhoth wrote:Let's take tomes away and compensate it by giving all priests free (no need to train) 100 eval and 100 magery (heightened priests could switch skills - such as 105 meditation to 105 magery). Gotta love it.
Re: Religion transfers
There are 2 old age arguments to this era long bitch fest and I am going to ressurect them:
1. Priests are one of the hardest classes to train and the class that takes the most effort to become powerful. Now I don't know how easy it is to get 50 piety nowadays so I would most deffinately agree its alot easier now, but they are still a hard class to train I would imagine.
2. If you can't beat them, join them. Whats the point in whining all the time about how powerful priests are when you can make one yourself. I love and live by that rule when it comes down to this sort of crap, and no I have never had a priest.
Priests aren't unbeatable, I've beaten 50 piety priests with a knight both in Law and in Imperial and out of religion, it can be done.
The only part I agree with is stoning should have a short timer, but it deffinately shouldn't be removed as it can be used as a great tactical advantage in wars between religions if used in the right way and a fair way. As far as Malediction (sp?) goes, in all the years I have played and even just floated around the forums I have only heard of it being used a hatful of times and most people agree it shouldn't be used as an every day rite, but correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't Malediction (sp?) have just as nasty side effects when it goes wrong?

Re: Religion transfers
Valentino said it _ALL_. God bless you, Val. I think that should make people realise not to whine about the priest.
And I think I just might be wrong. :/

Re: Religion transfers
What about ranger, warrior and suchs harder classes to train and they are nearly useless. Compared to them priest is easy class... and i cant see any problem with priest since it has only healing, mace, medit(macro able),tactics, anatomy to train and its good to go(ofc there are suchs usefull skills like resist and tracking).Valentino wrote:There are 2 old age arguments to this era long bitch fest and I am going to ressurect them:

They aint impossible to beat but ridicilious hard to beat... Aswell they dont lack anything they can do everything on shard freely... Baba has its weak point aswell does knight and archer but priest is only one that doesnt have.
Re: Religion transfers
Mind telling me where archers weak points is?.
