Magical items

Post by Monad »

Boris started this discussion on GM forums but we thought this is something what you players should decide.
I'll just quote what he wrote:
What if there were no magical weapons/armor from ores/bones/hides/wood? This would revive especially our tailor/bowyer markets and would bring more business to smiths aswell. All items in the game would be merchant made. The cost would be variety, thus the question...

Variety or economy?

This options makes alot harm to druid/necros..

More rare would be much better, it will make tailors/smiths/bowyers sell much much more

The success of this relies on 2 things.

1) GM's need to add more veins, we need to have as many as when Malas was open, but in Felucca.

2) Smiths need to stop being dumbasses and have reasonable prices, which of course depends in part on step 1

If these two objectives can be accomplished I would be for this. Veins need to be added in generous amounts, and smiths need to stop being dumbasses. Too bad Johnny wasn't much for merchants, cause to be honest greed is a problem. There are some cool guys out there producing and selling stuff but most of them are simply not my type of people so to speak.

We could come with a solution to necro/druid staves, it's no problem.

Most likely we're looking at a 80% 'No' poll result, but you all have to admit, that this would be a cure. It's no win-win by any means, but it does make sense.

Leather armor is best for sneaking, because it's literally made from hide.
