I assure you, my missed macro check was not intentional and I was unable to PM someone about it due to the lack of anyone being around.
What do I do?
Is this temporary or permanent?
What is the new / current policy?

Re: Account is blocked?
if you failed 3 checks just wait 3 days...
Re: Account is blocked?
3 macrochecks within 6months intentional or not, punishment is 1 week of jail and ofcourse each macrocheck drops a skill.
EDIT: atleast it used to be 1 week

Re: Account is blocked?
You had 4 failed macrochecks during the past few months, which resulted into 4 days of jail. Normally jailtime is after 3 marks but the GM who handled your last fail before this one forgot to jail you.
Also the jailtime on marks depends on your previous jailtime/marks.

Ok, so, not that I intend for this to happen again, what happens after this should I fail another? Where is this policy outlined?Monad wrote:You had 4 failed macrochecks during the past few months, which resulted into 4 days of jail. I mean, for the record, it isnt like Im intentionally failing these, its just that most normal people arent just sitting there watching their computer monitor constantly while macro'ing (especially UOLoop skills and in this particular case, what is quite possibly the most useless skill in the game and yet mysteriously takes the longest out of the lore skills (item id which only benefits tinkers and even more annoying is that it only benefits 3 items tinkers make - stat jewelry, obsidian steeds and porcelain golems)).
In the case of yesterday specifically, I was busy setting up a PC for use right next to my laptop that runs UO (which btw, is pretty sweet to have two PCs right next to each other) so in theory, I should be able to macro without having this happen again (I can macro on the laptop and do web surfing and my coding on the desktop so the laptop UO window should not be covered by accident).
Id also like to state for the record, this policy doesnt make much sense. Im not really thrilled about loosing the skill again and now I am unable to just play the game...
Id also like to know why the macro check gump is so random? Why not have it on the left side of the gameplay window?

3 consecutive marks within 6 month period always leads to jailtime. Where the marks come or how many marks you have before that determines the jailtime lenght.

Any idea where this is outlined?Monad wrote:3 consecutive marks within 6 month period always leads to jailtime. Where the marks come or how many marks you have before that determines the jailtime lenght.
I didnt see anything about this in the rules (but yes, I did see the old policy regarding macro checks which 'really' makes no sense).

Marking of accounts
A mark is a note about a rule violation, marks are added to your account not the character you played while violating the rule.
When a player breaks a rule, the game master will judge if the offence was serious enough to deserve a mark. After 3 marks your account will be jailed or in worst cases bann.
When we jail someone we block his account for 1 to 14 days (typical 5 days). Banning an account means that we delete all characters on your account and block it forever.

Ok, so worst case scenario is two weeks? Like I said, I didnt fail the macro check intentionally but it could happen again (again, believe me, I dont intend for it to but shit happens) and if it does Id be looking at two weeks?Monad wrote:Rules:littlewierdo wrote:Any idea where this is outlined?Monad wrote:3 consecutive marks within 6 month period always leads to jailtime. You dont get jailed for two weeks because of failed mc's. A week max.
