I actually found a nice dedicated server from Germany that could be tried out for 1 month. It would cost about 50€ and HW/con-wise it would top the current setup. By the looks when you jump over seas you get an extra 80-100ms, so based on that, I honestly don't know if a dedicated server is even worth trying out. No matter what, the over seas ping sticks. It's a physical impossibility to cut that part out.

Not sure if it's been tried but what about finding a somewhat central location like England / Greenland or even an East coast of NA.

As far as networks go, Germany's the best place to be in Europe. Sweden could be even better network wise, but they're way more expensive.

UK based would be alright, but we'd need to investigate the services very thoroughly. I have had very bad experiences with them. Also, the pound being fairly strong, it isn't cheap either.

It's the same situation for NA's using 2d while Irming hosts the server ._., so your point, while taken, doesn't do much to persuade an unbiased position.

They chose the wrong server. UK players had an awesome time with 10-20 ping, but everyone else (both European and American) took a hit.
