Discovery of the Yew Tree

Post by Mag'etherian »

Citizens...

Something had been troubling me over this mass size of a tree known as Yew. I found it odd for a tree this size, while cutting them down for my field of work to only give the same amount of material as a smaller... more normal sized tree would give. For the longest time I could only manage to turn a Yew tree into 70 logs. So I decided to do some investigating. Why I never thought of this before is beyond me. Upon my discoveries last eve, I found a better way to harvest this mighty tree's materials.

I have hired an artist to design this picture for those like myself, that never knew of this and could make use of this knowledge. To my memory these are the following locations you can harvest from one Yew tree. I'm sure I found at least one other spot, but this will have to do for now. The yellow circles are the locations you may find more useful material to gather from. If you do this properly, you will be able to harvest more than 70 logs from one of these marvellous tree's. Hopefully now, less material shall be wasted.

If you asked a Grandmaster Carpenter like me, you could have found it out earlier.

It has been like that since those trees in yew were the size of a willow tree, as far as I can remember.

Thus let me advise the less experienced people in the art of lumberjacking that the dimension of such trees can become very dangerous if you don't know where to chop. They can collapse over you easier than you might expect.

If you chop, you must know when to stop!
