Re: Donations for a dedicated server
Isn't the month over yet? I'm ready to go back to the old server.
Re: Donations for a dedicated server
Cause I lag on 2D, didn't know I was going to say that, eh?
Re: Donations for a dedicated server
Server activity has been the lowest since we switched as well. Seems like the NA playerbase was the ones keeping it active, based on observations.Kent Strider wrote:Cause I lag on 2D, didn't know I was going to say that, eh?

Re: Donations for a dedicated server
Summer time = UO geeks trying very hard to impress ladies on teh beach. Or am I being optimistic here (about UO geeks actually going out to impress ladies, not the other part)?

Regarding people wanting 3d back - you do realise that your 3d probably lags a bit aswell (with the exception of tyrion as far as I've seen) so if the whole shard starts to use 3d, and by that I mean the people that haven't quit - you will still be at a disadvantage as their 3d > your 3d. At least as far as my logic goes? You should try racing each other when on 3d and I think this theory will be proven, atleast ive seen it happening for alot of people before a few European teks ran over the top of Canadian/Americans also on 3d.
So what will 3d back acomplish? you being able to hunt easier as the shard wasnt designed for such high speeds?
Atleast Kent I've outran you twice when you were 3d you nearly had me because of speed advantage but you still spiked and I got away. if I use 3d I still have the advantage so nothing changes

How much is the typical online count during your evenings?Tyrion wrote:Server activity has been the lowest since we switched as well. Seems like the NA playerbase was the ones keeping it active, based on observations.Kent Strider wrote:Cause I lag on 2D, didn't know I was going to say that, eh?

TBH, I noticed it was around 20's or higher in your mornings. During peek hours (both European and Americans playing) I have found that the online count is in the 30's or higher (sometimes 40's). The higher online count during peek hours seemed to be a result of Americans and Europeans playing but when the Europeans logged off, the online count remained high and most Americans were still IG / online. Granted these are just observations, so you cannot take it at face value, but they are my observations especially considering now the online count is considerably lower than it was before the switch. Where we would have 30 + players at peek hours, we have around 20 + or less. On my (evenings) timezone we used to have 20 - 30 +/-, now we have less than 20 or less than 10. Again, observations.

Observation from my morning 7:30 GMT +7, usual online count 5, me included. Might be a little late already for East coast, but the online count never topped 10 for the past few months
