Robbing.

Post by Acca »

I decided to make a new post about Robbing as I think the one in poll section has lost its way a little, so lets keep comments short, to the point and focused on topic.

I think PvP, robbing and the chance you could lose everything without a moments notice are a vital part of the shard.

I have just started playing again recently and whilst im enjoying it I think the shard is quite monotonous- everyone seems to have 50 piety and/or really good equipment. There is no element of danger or fear anymore which is what I think previously made the shard so exciting to play. Being robbed sucks I think everyone would agree on that however robbers do bring something to the shard- they make people unite and interact. I remember several times where players came together simply because they had one common goal- to get revenge on those that had robbed or attacked them and many memorable moments and friendships were the product of those events. Battles between Law and guilds of robbers are legendary on pangaea- Cabal of the Night, Exorsus Nox, Bregan D'arthe, Servants of Death, Ancient Powers, these are the names people still talk about when they reminisce today. Think of some of the most memorable names of pangaea- Deval Von E'Grim, Gabriz McCree, Shenzen, Harlequin, Athan, Korec, Rollew, Leif Do'brim, Thorin to name but a few and they all have one thing in common- they have either PvP against Law or are robbers. Aswell as robbers being legendary to Pangaea so are the ones that opposed them- Desdemona, Methril, Connor, Zeronia and many more. Pangaea needs robbing and outlaws.

There is Nothing on any other game or shard that gives as good as adrenaline rush as PvP on pangaea. You could lose 3 months of gaming in 30 seconds- you dont get that on xbox. Bring back old robbing.

Have to agree, the kicks from pvp are amazing.
But as a robber you know you wont lose any gear, so why does it really matter if i live or die, same goes for the Law / Nature / blues fighting with the robbers.

You get kicks for risking to lose your gear if you die right?
