Just like old times? If the one who gets robbed thinks that the robbery wasnt by rules then he contacts GMs. And then robbers must prove a SS. Ive pulled some PvPs but havent upload anything, just keeping them in my computer.Monad wrote:Again, if you have better ideas, tell them. Saying something is "bullshit" without providing a better way doesn't help a thing.Simmo wrote:Yeah, theres still that bullshit rule "upload the attack within an hour". Being in GY and sometimes pvping with law takes more than an hour, i really cant be arsed to start hacking.

Re: New PVP rules Q&A
As far as I know, the current rules state that only robbers should upload the ss, the rest must have the ss in case the opposing party complains.Monad wrote:Every attack, just like now.[/quote]Jyrgen wrote:Does everyone who attacks (i.e, if Law attacks some red) need to upload ss of the attacking RP, or does it only apply for robberies?
Also, the shard announcement said the same http://www.knoechel.dk/pangaea/viewtopi ... 154#p76154.After each robbery, you are obligated to upload enough screenshots, to prove proper role play. The screenshots should be uploaded as fast as possibly, to ease the GM’s workload. If there are no or invalid proves of the role play involved in the robbery, within one hour after the robbery started, the robbery is considered illegal.
So if you really expect us to upload ss of every attack, perhaps the rules should be rewritten to actually say that. However, perhaps increasing the time limit from 1 hour to a bit longer? EDIT: Or just as Simmo said: if someone complains, ss needs to be uploaded, though this would increase the GM workload.
Other than that, good job with simplifying the PvP rules.
Re: New PVP rules Q&A
Yeah sorry I misread. I thought you asked if everyone needs to TAKE screenshot which is the case.
I'm fine with robberies could fall into the same category aswell, I mean that it wouldn't require automatic upload.
I've never at least marked anyone for not complying with that if they have had the SS afterall when asked.

Re: New PVP rules Q&A
However, if there isn't the need to upload ss after robbery, how would you actually know who are robbers and not?
Re: New PVP rules Q&A
If I can determine of the current playerbase in my head who are robbers and who are not, I don't see how I couldn't after the rule change. It's one of our job, to be updated what's happening on the shard.Jyrgen wrote:However, if there isn't the need to upload ss after robbery, how would you actually know who are robbers and not?
Re: New PVP rules Q&A
Also this "determining robbers" is one of those things what should preferentially come from the playerbase and not from staff. If you play a robber, don't ask religions to help you out. Simple as that. You shouldn't need a GM to babysit you on each minute to make sure you don't do that. We're not 13 yrs anymore.

Awsome.
Re: New PVP rules Q&A
1) Where do you aim with the new PvP rules? To simplify and erase possible loopholes?Monad wrote:WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE TEST RUN?
1) If we receive lot of reports of assholish behaviour concerning lot of players, we will go back to the current ruleset after the test-run. This would be a clear sign that most of the playerbase are not ready for the change.
2) If we receive lot of reports of assholish behaviour concerning FEW certain players, we will kick them out who can't handle them and continue with the new more simple ruleset with the players who can play without griefing others. We can't let few players to pollute the shard with their behavior.
2) What's the punishment's/How can one prove that the other guy was a tl;dr to him in some way?
Re: New PVP rules Q&A
1) They are too complex and detailed mess at the moment. Too many written small rules here and there, too less common and logical responsibility/thinking by the players. With this new ruleset I hope we can reverse that.Zaradon wrote:1) Where do you aim with the new PvP rules? To simplify and erase possible loopholes?

2) Depends on the case what the punishment is. "How can one prove that the other guy was a tl;dr to him in some way?" tl;dr means: "too long, didn't read". I'm not sure what do you mean with that in the sentence?
