Dear Mr. Bloomberg!
I think I played it fair enough. I overbid it at last minute because I knew I wouldn't be able to go over in eternity.
Auction should be an auction, ended at noon.
If the private bidding will continue tomorrow at 1800 hours, I can not be present.
I won't judge what's fair and what isn't, I will let you decide for the best.
Best regards,
-Amy

I am not saying who's right and who's not, but if you are concerned because of the time when the auction should have ended and did not, and you feel you were harmed because of that problem with time, you can argue that this new scheduled hour is not the best, and with common sense your words would be heard no? You didn't win the house due to a problem with timing, so it's only fair that you could atleast ask for a time when you can be present?
