Griefing (you never could have been libating... PART 2)

Post by Maximilian Lhoth »

I politely ask gamemasters to stop locking threads. Keep it Gangnam Style (South Korea), not Pangnam (North Korea).

Anyone else got tired of gamemasters locking threads? I set up a new forum with freedom of speech soon if this won't stop. I hope, anyway, that in this thread we talk about: GRIEFING and NOT the new forum or the issue of gamemasters locking threads. Go, talk about GRIEFING.

As long as people stay on topic, even moderately polite and not spamming senseless shit you have all the freedom you want.

Sebastian, not Sebulba the Star Wars character, is not a griefer. He just takes his duties seriously. Young Cop Syndrome... he also has an inferiority complex for being of frail build, compared to the other, muscular officers of Law.

Actually, you are. The reason people call you Sebulba is because you act like a slimey toad, you've earned the name. Doing things because you have the RP backing IG to do them doesn't make them all around ok. Libating people's locked down items and attacking alts that are trying to help others is IMO unnecessary griefing. There could exist a gentlemen's agreement to avoid this type of behavior but expecting you or any other currently active members in Law to abide by it would be probably asinine.

Attacking alts trying to rescue their own stuff after getting themselves killed in battle, yeh thats not grieVing thats common sense?

sadly i think we have to accept that it happens, im sure i could get at least 3 examples of causing someone unnecessary harm for every single player, and in the cases of certain players a hell of a lot more then 3 examples. problem is everyone has different ideas of how far grieving can be before its untollerable and the victim will always naturally whine complain and rant to the end of the world when it happens to them but wont even acknowledge when they do something equivelent or worse

if your interested my three examples are:
1) on my mage i once gated during a quest to centre of brit saying it lead to the next part of the quest when it really went to brit bank everyone rushed through and i killed a dozen reds
2) 10 minutes after the infamous item wipe i found a red at gy and killed him with fists, for no reason other then i could
3) i once found a red i think it was tek out hunting with super elite gears i killed him took the gear and stashed it in my bank with 6 minutes of the meeting
EDIT: 4) i once attacked (and looted) a red who was afk macroing parrying at serpents pass
EDIT: 5) i banish ghosts at every opportunity
EDIT AGAIN: 6) when i was a 30P untrained law priest i made a habbit of soloing imp towns and clearing guards and posting about it on forum just to show off

What happened today between Sebastian, the-dead-Imperial-member-in-the-middle-of-guarded-Britain, Rivien and the mysterious guy called Acillatem, it was more like a chess match. Many "mensa level guys" play on Pangaea and (I believe we have at least 4 such players atm) they do hate it when they get outsmarted. Not the items, not dying in PvP - but getting outsmarted. I know the personality type which enjoys this kind of "brain excercise" when I play with one.

I don't know what you are trying to achieve with these kinda topics. Like the *Fuck You Thread* these are useless.
