Re: New PVP rules #2
Harlequin yeah, that sure is a "problem" but then again who wasn't it a problem during the first eight years of Pangaea. We used to have people to kill and loot everyone and then we had robbers who did the same but their RP was "robbery".
Yes people can go around the robber rule by making up another RP reason, but not everyone can be arsed to do so and many will simply use the easy, same old "This is a robbery!"-phrase instead.
These rules look a lot like it used to be which was perfectly fine. No need to make it too complicated.
However, I'd add that people who aren't "robbing" have to make sure that their "victim" knows he will be looted if he dies. Such as Telborean have to make sure that all non-citizens hunting in their claimed grounds will be killed and all their gear compensated unless they pay the tax. This way people know that if they die to Telborea they will be looted.

Wrong according to the rules you have to say "Halt this is a robbery".Darian Darkmind wrote:Harlequin yeah, that sure is a "problem" but then again who wasn't it a problem during the first eight years of Pangaea. So because it says in the rule, that's all you're going to do?Quintoz wrote:

There are so many ways to engage into a robbery which are much more interesting on both sides, I don't understand why such need to stick to the rules unless you're trying to do something fishy...

Boris told Monad that he was wrong and I later got a ICQ message saying that you gotta use the words "This is a robbery" so the victim knows it's a robbery.xHarlequinx wrote:Wrong. http://www.knoechel.dk/pangaea/viewtopi ... x&start=60Quintoz wrote:Wrong according to the rules you have to say "Halt this is a robbery".
You cannot use -any- other kind of RP declaring it's a robbery. You gotta use -those- words.
Re: New PVP rules #2
Harle if you read the first post quote you can see what Johnny says, we have all been warned and some of us marked for not saying "Halt this is a robbery".
We've even asked the gm's on ICQ if we are allowed to do the telborean RP which we aren't we have to say "Halt this a robbery" then do the RP.

Re: New PVP rules #2
It needs to be understood but it doesn't have to be "halt this is a robbery. now die", use your vocabulary and imagination for this.
Re: New PVP rules #2
It does Aileth if you read what Johnny said. In that topic Monad was wrong and Boris told him that later on ICQ and it has to be the exact words : Halt this is a robbery.

Re: New PVP rules #2
Robber - Robbers can kill and loot any player with proper RP.
* Proper RP must be atleast 10 seconds.
* Proper RP must have item demands (Only .robbers can ask for items from their victim[s])
Legal robbery;
* Robber has a RP scenario with his Victim, he demands his gear he is currently using. He kills his victim and loots ONLY the items he asked for.
* Robber has a RP scenario with his Victim, he demands his gear he is currently using. Robber gets killed by Victim - Victim is free to be looted.
Illegal robbery;
* Robber has a RP scenario with his Victim, but he has some Murder comrades or Religion members with them - He kills and loots the Victim from all the items without even demanding anything specific.
* Robber has been informed via ICQ/MAP etc about a player hunting in dungeon, he relogs his robber and goes for a "legal" robbery. I think this one should be checked aswell, that's one sure loophole here. RP screenshot after logging robber alt should be also taken (i.e - why are you logging your .robber char?) It is obvious, but how do you know about his whereabouts etc, dont come telling me 93 tracking is good ;] (Imho, this one should be added to the asshole rules where either side tries to get "more men" to kill and loot players)
Murder - Murders can kill but NOT loot any player with proper RP.
* Proper killing RP must be atleast 10 seconds.
* Proper killing purpose needs to have a good RP reason.
I will add more scenarios (questions) to the Guild vs Guild war, since murders are about to probably abuse them.

Its not robbers fault if he demands stuff X and victim refuses to give them. Robber just can kill him and take everything.Zaradon wrote:Legal robbery;
