Only thing that makes this shard so unique in my eyes, the chance of lose everything you've earned trough hard work within seconds just proves what kind of world pangaea is supposed to be. This means gear wont be worth too much and those who actualy can afford to use the advantages of expensive gear and know how to play, are wiling to take the heavy risk of losing everything they've worked for.
If you want play safe, no pvp etc. find another game that has no looting.
Counter-Criteria;
We know what robbing means and it has worn out of hands compared to what it used to be back in the days.
I do agree that robbing is harsh for hunters/adventurers, however.
There could be some sort of an option for players who literally don't want to be involved in anykind of PvP they could have different mechanics for different specs.
I.e - When a "Non PvP" char is hunting, he gets 50% loot from the original amount.
When a "Non PvP" player attacks someone (Player), his weapons will be removed automatically.
And when he succeeds hitting another player, he will instantly die from automated backfire. (Also, dealing 0 dmg to the player he attacked)
Just some advertising here.
I mean, the rules for robbers are pretty harsh, but the mechanics given in UO are also pretty light for the robbers of Pang.
So to counter anykind of abuse from both sides, we could think of the "Non PvP" players, if they literally don't want to be involved in PvP, then they should be left alone.

Yeah some players like playing online games solo, but pang used to be not the game world where that happens. Imo still robberies should include everyone without any ridicilious restrictions, from noobies to pro's people should fear the unexpected player interaction with a robber who might just take all your stuff.

This - If you want to pve without getting attacked feel free to host your own local shard and play alone.Ivan wrote:Yeah some players like playing online games solo, but pang used to be not the game world where that happens. I agree, PvP and that moment of "fml I'm about to lose everything" when someones robbing you... those are heart racing moments, which you don't find in many games anymoreQuintoz wrote:This - If you want to pve without getting attacked feel free to host your own local shard and play alone.Ivan wrote:Yeah some players like playing online games solo, but pang used to be not the game world where that happens. The only issue with PvP is the bending and circumventing of rules, I think for the majority of players THAT is their real reason for disliking PvP, or at least that seems to be the only legitimate concern that doesn't deserve an immediate "if you just want pve leave"-type response.
