Is this just naive fantasy of mine or could this kind of change be seen from everyone?

There's another alternative. Keep the rules few and simple but write down the intention of any rule that operates in a grey area so that we know the motivation behind them. This is often used as a reference for interpreting rules and guidelines in professional life.

Rule #1 - Don't be an asshole.
Will a collection of your peers perceive your actions as:
a.) trying to bypass/exploit an existing rule?
b.) being more focused on ruining the game for others than for your own personal gain?
Yes to either of these? Then don't do it.
Think it might be legitimate? Test the idea out with your peers/GMs on the boards. Don't turn it into a flame-fest. Certainly there are some people who are black/white but many of us want to see a dangerous shard. Good example of this is the comments to my "new rules" or the support for Telborea to be able to use the "tax collector" line (even though it is clearly a robbery).

Re: New PVP rules #2
I dont see how it ruins the game for others in the slightest...
Re: New PVP rules #2
If you're clean looting someone, then that's pretty clearly more to send a message / piss them off than it is because you need those bandages, grains of sand, etc.Athan01 wrote:I dont see how it ruins the game for others in the slightest...
Likewise if I get someone's keys and then just go into their house with a newbie tailor and change all their hides into sandals, that's just a-hole behaviour, but if you risk sending a GM tailor in there and making full suits of armor that you can use/sell then that's clearly for the benefit of your character (vs. ruining it for someone else).

But...the 90% bro?
In all seriousness, with full loot implemented...why would anyone limit themselves to just gold? I guess that would be the necessary evil to rob with actual RP.
Re: New PVP rules #2
wasn't monad talking about telborea demanding money (their taxes rp) and if telboreans agreed to only take money, then they could do that rp without being considered robbers
Re: New PVP rules #2
From what i've been told they can ask and you can refuse and that doesnt mean they can loot if they kill you still even if you have the required X coin.Glarundis wrote:wasn't monad talking about telborea demanding money (their taxes rp) and if telboreans agreed to only take money, then they could do that rp without being considered robbers
