I wish I could be like elya and pwn. the player did play well hehe
And are you sure he wasn't protected by guards or something? Because a monk can't take dmg from 3 players at the same time in open field.

But hey, they'll be good then, true
1. Now you say you suck again. Make up your mind .
2. As I said before, it's all about player skills.
3. He didn't take Damage from 3 players in an open field. Because then you suck at PvP. Don't get hit and choose your target.

Atleast I was referring to Palis Foar, not Elya.

Palis was the first to hit ancient, the first to have 50 piety as monk and was in Tekstone. Even with 40 piety and (old) Tekstone tome he was a real pain in the ass. Combination of wands, staves, fists, spells, potions and rites. My Law guy had 0 chance in 1vs1.

Yet still I see a monk as a supporter with good traveling and tracking abilities.

Since I never played with or against Palis I can't say anything about him, but Elya is a good monk becouse he knows the strenght and weakness of the monk class and uses that to his advantage and start forcing you to fight inside his guard zone where he can use para / solitude or just straight up kal vas / mindblast + wand + malleus combos untill he gets you.

unless he has a place to retreat = guards, he'll go against 3 guys in open field no?
that's just it quintoz, i'm sure i can use paralyze + kal vas flam/mindlast + wand of hellfire. But I don't have malleus or solitude :P and that makes a difference.
But ok, Palis didn't have either
I'll start collecting explosion pots!

I don't really think monks can kill high piety priests (effectively) due to the insane amount of dmg priest's hits do. Atleast with my monk, I relied heavily on wrestling, which can be really kickass against low ar targets. And obviously, high piety priests don't have low AR... nor low resist...

Actually it's pretty possible to take down 3 persons alone and without guards, but only if they're some kind of noob robbers or smth who have no clue how to play. :P Monks could get over 70 AR, so if the target isn't in religion and doesn't use poison or some leet weapon, they can't really do much harm to you.

And I must say that playing Elya I was kind of crazy a bit too often, taking way too high risks every now and then (such as meleeing some robbers and so). But hey, playing monk is fun, atleast more fun than playing druid.
