Obsidian steed success rate
Was success rate when making obsidian steeds changed?
I used to succed every time i tried to make one with only 100 tinkering.
Now I failed 5 times in a row with massive tinkering cloth.
If it was, I think it should be changed back to previous one. You can't fail 4 out of five tries with 106 tinkering and 100 item identification...

Re: Obsidian steed success rate
Can someone tell me how much sand is needed to to make enough obsidian bits for one steed? And what is the sucess rate of making those obsidian bits?
Re: Obsidian steed success rate
1500 = 100 obsidians = 1 steed.

Nothing has changed if you made success 100% of the times with 100 tinkering you either cheated (which is not possible)or remember badly, or made 1 steed youre intire life (and was lucky to make it first go )
I remember back when Elauine was gm tinker, it was quite normal to fail 1-2 times before making 1 steed even with 110, so no nothing is changed, if you fail few times with 106.

High end craftables will never be made at s high % of success rate even at 115/115 you will fail. Of course the higher skills increase ur chances of producing said item without failure.
1500 sand does not equal 1 steed.
This is only true if you never miss making a piece of obsidian from the GLASS and never fail making a steed.
It's this type of mentality that allows people to sell them and other craftables for so little.

I used to fail when making obsidians with only 100 tinkering and it is still that way.
However, I never failed when making the steed; when I had 100 obsidian it was certain that I made 1 steed.
Now, if I have 200 obisidian, I can only wish that I will make one steed.

I used to have a tinker and i rarely failed making obsidian steeds, at the time i had 90 tinkering and 110 item id - so I think getting indy item id will reduce your obsidian wasteage
