Of Goddesses and Men
They met on neutral ground, although they knew there was no need, they brought an entourage of body guards. Esuna, ever the realist believed that the need for them was not necessary but that the potential for violence to occur at the snap of a finger was a worthwhile precaution to take. "Greetings sister," Esuna greeted warmly. "Hello sister," Gaea stated flatly. "Let us get this business taken care of." Esuna nodded and they moved towards each other to embrace. A kiss on either cheek, such warm feelings were a welcome sight. They were both positively confident that an agreement could be worked out. It was after all, a misunderstanding. . Esuna began, "this corruption of your temple seems a bit overstated. My men are quite pious in their judgement of those that seem to be threatening. They do not make haphazardly decisions that could adversely affect them or their charges." "They defiled my temple, a place of worship for decades upon counting! A number of faithful have come through this holy location at one point or another to engage in the chant of life," Gaea responded sharply. Esuna measured her sisters lack of decorum and realized the damage it had done. "My apologies sister, I did not realize how much this attack had wounded you. If it would make you feel any better, we can call off this war and allow your pocket-faithful to collect themselves." Gaea eyed her sister curiously and played with her hair in contemplation. Her brown eyes met Esuna's bright yellow-orange hue blink for blink. Gaea inclined her head and acquiesced. Nodding Esuna turned to walk away and then stopped. She looked over her shoulder and stated coldly, "should another outbreak of hostilities occur between us, I will not be here to save you or your faith, sister, the events of men will play out as they see necessary. The blades will fall where they may." Esuna continued walking forward and could feel the daggers being stared at her back. She stopped again, put a hand to her head and focused her thoughts.

Tyrion stopped what he was doing and lurched forward, clutching his head. He had been preparing another foray into the wooded lands of Yew. When he regained his composure, he stood up and focused his eyes. "It shall be as you command my Queen." He sent word to convene a council meeting. Tyrion shared his brief communion session with the others and found they had experienced similar communication. They all agreed that the browncoats would be dodging an arrow from this turn of events but were resided to oblige their Goddess. "Withdraw our forces from yew, keep a skeleton arm available for re-deployment should the need arise," Ondoher declared. "The next time they will not be so fortunate," Tyrion proclaimed. The members at the table all nodded their heads in unison. "See it done Tyrion," Ondoher finally put in. Tyrion nodded and they all moved away, each a little bit overly disgusted with the cowardice of Gaea and her faith.
